Living Life
Rolling over onto her side, Natasha Romanoff threw her arm over her husband's body and brought herself closer to him. Immediately, she felt much more comfortable and warm. She didn't need the blankets; all she needed was the handsome male beside her.
She could hear his slow and calm breathing and she enjoyed the sound of it. Her arm moved and she placed her hand upon his bare chest, feeling his heart beat rhythmically. The beating of one's heart was nice to hear, especially when it was her husband's. It was like a song. It was beautiful.
Before she could move again, Natasha opened her eyes and felt her husband's arms go around her. The female was pulled against his body in a tight embrace and she wasted no time in getting even closer. A smile spread across her lips and she let her eyes flutter close again, feeling her man press a kiss to her forehead.
"You awake?" his voice touched her ears.
Natasha opened her eyes again, lifting her head slightly to see him gazing at her with his icy blue eyes. She raised a hand and ran her fingers through his blond hair, the smile still playing on her lips. "Yeah, you?"
"Obviously," he replied.
She rolled her eyes. "Obviously," she mimicked.
Steve Rogers, who was her husband, sat up with a smile and brought her up with him with his arms still tightly around her. "Did you sleep okay?" he questioned her.
"I slept pretty well. Yourself?" Natasha retorted, her fingers still roaming his hair.
Steve thought about for a moment before saying, "Pretty good."
"Great. I'm gonna get started on breakfast," Black Widow removed herself from her husband's arms and was about to get out of the bed, but a little girl barged into the room, along with a little boy. The little boy and little girl looked exactly like each other, but the girl had blonde hair and the boy had red colored hair like Natasha.
"Mommy, daddy!" they both cried simultaneously.
Steve was prepared to catch the red haired little boy in his arms as he scrambled onto the bed. Natasha was also prepared as the blonde haired girl crashed into her arms and climbed onto her lap.
"Morning, buddy!" Steve greeted his son warmly, ruffling his hair. "How you doin'?"
"Good!" answered his son. "I'm hungry!"
"So am I!" the little girl chimed, her little arms wrapped around her mother's waist.
Natasha let a smile spread across her face as she smoothed down her daughter's long blonde hair. "Don't worry, mommy's about start breakfast right now, Stefani."
"Can you make pancakes?" Stefani questioned, tilting her head back to gaze at her mother's face. "I want pancakes. Pancakes are good."
"Pancakes, yeah!" cheered the boy, trying to squirm out of his father's arms.
Steve kept a strong hold on the boy. "Easy there, Nathaniel."
The boy, Nathaniel, pouted and stopped trying to get away from his dad, knowing it was useless. He knew his father was a superhero and that he was really strong!
Natasha placed her daughter on the ground and then got up. "Want to help me with the pancakes then, Nathaniel, Stefani?" she questioned her children.
"Yeah, yeah!" they both shouted.
Steve finally released his child and the boy jumped out of the bed and dashed out of the room as fast as he could. Stefani was quickly behind him. Natasha put on a small smile and turned her head around to look at Steve who was still in the bed.
"Coming?" she asked.
"In a few," replied Steve.
Natasha shrugged and then sauntered out of the room, hurrying to the kitchen before the kids could do any destruction to it. Steve watched her leave the room before putting his hands behind his head, sighing through his nose.
Yup, this was his life and he loved it.
