"There he is again. He's so cute! I want to tell him before I have to go… but I don't think I can". The shy young girl thought to herself. She had been on vacation for a few days and had to leave in a few hours. Her name was Hinata. She was on vacation with her mother, and the night before a boy in the hotel had caught her eye.
"Hinata, we will be leaving in an hour, is there anything else you want to do?" Her mother said, breaking her thoughts. Hinata thought about it. This was her chance. "I could talk to him." Hinata thought to her-self.
"Yes mom, could I have some money for the arcade?" She said anxiously.
"Sure, here's ten. I'll be out in the lobby, come find me when you are done." Her mother said as she handed her the money. Hinata did a bow of courtesy and ran into the arcade. She got change for the dollar bill and worked her way to the back of the arcade. She played each game going back to where he was. That cute boy with blonde hair, blue eyes, and a nice tan. He was playing a driving game, and he was determined to win. Hinata watched out of the corner of her eye. "He is just so cute." she thought to her-self. "I should just tell him that I think he is cute. I mean I'm hours away from home. If he rejects me I will probably never see him again. And if he accepts me maybe we could get each other's cell numbers and stay in touch." Hinata waited for him to finish his game and walked up to him boldly.
"I know this is random and all, but you're really hot." She stated. The boy looked at her and smiled slightly, but he didn't say anything.
"I just thought I'd tell you…" She said, not as certain this time. Hinata began to walk away, feeling embarrassed.
"Wait, you know that's a first. Last week someone just turned around and shouted that I was ugly." The boy said.
"They must have been jealous." Hinata responded. She couldn't believe what was happening. She began walking and talking to the boy, and he told her about one of the awesome games in the arcade, and how he loved it because it was a drum game and he played the drums.
"So, do you have a cell-phone with text?" Hinata asked confidently.
"Yeah, give me your phone I'll put my number in." He said with a smile.
"What's your name?" Hinata asked.
"Naruto, and you?" He said.
"Hinata." She responded.
"That's a pretty name, Hinata" Naruto said with a smile. So they exchanged numbers and found that they only lived an hour away from each other. Naruto promised her a date at the theaters, and Hinata accepted. Then they said their good-byes and hugged, and Hinata left for home.
One Week Later
When Hinata told her friends about what she had done over vacation they could not believe her. Everyone said "It's so out of character for you." And it was true.
"So how did you do it?" one of her friends asked.
"Oh, just a little bravery…" Hinata said coyly.
The End
