This is my second fan fic and I hope that everyone likes it.
I do not own Bleach or any of the characters; I am just a huge fan of the series.
What will happen?
As Ichigo stood inside of his room, contemplating his next course of action, he asked himself, what would happen? He knew that he loved her and that he would be happy to have her, but would she be happy to be with him.
After their first mission to the Soul Society, he had seen the way that she looked at him, her eyes filled with joy and admiration and maybe something more. After the incident with the Bounts he knew what he had seen, love. Ichigo reached in to his pocket and pulled out a velvet lined box. Inside the box was a ring, an engagement ring. He planned to give it to her tonight at his birthday party.
"Ichigo your guest are starting to arrive" Yuzu whispered from the doorway. Ichigo realized that he had been so wrapped up in his thoughts that he had not heard her come in.
"Alright Yuzu I'm coming." He placed the box back in his pocket and proceeded down stairs to the festivities. All of his friends were there; Uryu, Chad, Orihime, Renji, and Rukia.
Happy Birthday Ichigo" shouted Orihime as she ran over to give Ichigo a hug. Ichigo returned the hug tentatively. As the night went on Ichigo talked with his friends about school and training and just how they were doing. His father, thank God, acted semi sane only attacking him twice throughout the night.
As the excitement of the party started to wind down, Ichigo decided to make his move.
"Hey Rukia, do you have a moment?"
"Sure Ichigo." She followed him into the next room, away from everyone else. "So what did you want to talk about Ichigo? Is everything all right?"
"Yeah everything is great. Rukia? We have been through a lot together. We went through that ordeal with your rescue and then the issue with the Bounts and I have realized something; I want to be with you. Not just today, not just tomorrow, but forever." Ichigo slowly pulled out the box that he had in his pocket and knelt down on one knee. Rukia realized what this was and tears started to form in her eyes.
"Rukia Kuchki, will you marry me?" Ichigo opened the box revealing the ring inside.
"Oh Ichigo; Yes, yes I will marry you." Rukia proclaimed with tear filled eyes. Ichigo's heart was filled with joy as he slipped the engagement ring on to his fiancé's finger. He then stood up and sealed the engagement with a kiss filled with passion, which Rukia returned eagerly.
By the door the rest of the group listened to the two lover's conversation.
"Bout time that he sealed the deal" said Ichigo's father.
So this is my first Bleach one shot in a series all featuring a common theme, Love.
