Raoul was finishing work and it started to rain as he collected his hat and coat looking forward to go home to see his wife and child. On the way home the carriage makes a huge creaking noise which startles Raoul then the driver informed him that the carriage was in mud and would be a few hours till help arrives.
By the time the Carriage becomes unstuck and on the way home it's really late but after a long day Raoul headed indoors and went to bed he reached the top of the stairs and before entering the bedroom Raoul hears the bed moving and two hushed voices thinking it was Christine and her Angel. Raoul slams the door open feeling hurt and furious there he finds Christine having a nightmare.
"Raoul help me" Christine cried out in terror "Christine wake up Christine!"
She soon opened her eyes with tears falling down her cheeks "Raoul is that you"
"yes I'm here my love" he pulled her into a tight embrace trying to comfort her the best he could.
"Raoul it was awful he tried to kill you then he"
"It was a dream you're not with that monster Darling"
"Protect me Raoul you promise" she looked up at him with tears still falling down her cheeks still.
"Always"
She soon stopped crying and laid back down on the bed and he sat beside her playing with her hair then the sound of a young baby crying was coming from the other room.
"Charlotte" Christine jumped and went to get her daughter from the room then Raoul stopped her from getting up
"I will get our little Lotte" Christine smiled at her Husband and soon he came back with their Daughter in his arms, "Hello my Darling " Christine grabbed her daughter in her arms.
Raoul had got Charlotte's basket and for her to sleep in and she soon fell asleep, Christine kissed her daughter on the forehead and placed her in her bed.
Raoul felt Christine's gaze "Yes Christine he said quietly.
"I love you"
"I love you as well my dear" he kissed her gently and took Christine in his arms and they both fell asleep peacefully through the night.
