Hi Everyone,

So it has been a long time since I have actually written anything, and enough is enough. I want to get my notices out right away that I do not own any of the characters that were created for the CW's Vampire Diaries and Originals. I do not make any money of this. With that said I hope you guys will like this story.

This is all rough, so I apologize for my horrible grammar and spelling. Hopefully you will be able to see past that to let me know if you like my ideas.

P.S. I would love it if you could review if you do like this idea and story, without reviews it's hard for a writer to tell if they should continue or not. But please like your mother would always say, if you do not have anything nice to say, (or at least constructive) then please do not say anything at all.

This story takes place months after the last episode of season 1 and I will not be following season two directly. As episodes air I may incorporate the story line from the show but only if it works with the ideas that I have.

Chapter 1

The best words to describe New Orleans today was hot and humid. It was tourist season, so there were plenty of people out and about today. Elijah chanced a walk around town, he knew he should be safe from attack, with this many people around the wolves were sure to leave him be for now. Not that he was really worried about them, it was more the fact that he just wanted some time to wonder and think. With Haley gone and engaged, baby Hope presumed dead, it was all a little different now.

As he walked down the street and watched the many oblivious people walk by, he began to wonder if he would ever find peace. He stopped to stare off down the street when his eyes caught a woman across the street from him, staring at him. She was dressed in a simple white dress and her brown curls were blowing slightly in the breeze. Elijah looked at her curiously, when suddenly he was struck by an overwhelming weight on his chest. Faltering slightly he grabbed the back of a park bench to keep himself upright. Breaking eye contact with the woman he gripped his chest with his free hand.

"I'm sorry, I didn't mean too, are you okay." Elijah looked up to see the woman now standing next to him. Quickly grabbing her he ran with lightning speed into an alleyway and pushed her up against the brick wall.

"Your pretty brave, attacking me like that. I should rip you apart right now for what you and your kin did to baby Hope." Elijah placed his hand around her throat and attempted to cut off her circulation.

Grasping for breath the woman flung her hands up in an attempt to pry Elijah's hand off of her. "Please, I don't want to hurt you." She spoke quickly between gasps.

"Hurt me," Elijah laughed, "I am an original, and I am tired of you witches getting in my way." He tightened his grip on the woman. Quickly flinging her hands in the air she sent Elijah flying backwards, effectively releasing herself from his grip.

"Please I do not wish to hurt you." She pleaded as she rested against the brick wall in an attempt to get her breath back. "You are Elijah Mikaelson. You are noble, and just. I was told that you would be able to help me, that you could be trusted."

Elijah looked the woman over and brushed off pants. "And who, may I ask would have told you that?" The woman who now came to stand in front of him looked him over with a smile.

"Your mother..."
