Chapter 1 2016, Diamond Academy, Glasgow"Come on, get the door open!" said David
"I can't, it's locked." Replied Tam, an old classmate
"So we'll all be crushed by floors above. I guess we'll have to" said David looking around the crowded corridor
"Not exactly all of you." Said a male voice, full of mystery. David spun around to see an old man and an old woman standing behind him.
"All but two of you, David Lester, take my hand." Said the old man
"and Tamsin Robb, take mine" said the old woman
"You have 20 seconds to decide. Half a life or no life at all?" finalized the old man
They both responded almost instantly, each grabbing the hand of their respective adult
"Say goodbye to life as you know it." Said the old man, then there was the feeling of falling, then black
David jolted up. He was in a dark room. He noticed two other beds in the room. Suddenly, a figure moved in one of the other beds
"David?" asked the figure
"Tam!" replied David
Suddenly, another figure said "Great. You're awake. Now there's only Janice left
