a. Family

Family (a)

Lita looked around her apartment and sighed. Yet another holiday on her own. Usually she tried to not let it bother her, but this holiday everyone else was out with their families having fun.

She gave the leaves of the plant in front of her one last stroke and turned to go inside. As she reached the kitchen, the phone rang.

"Hello, Lita Kino here"

"Hey Leets, wanna come over for coffee or something? Everyone else is coming too!" Lita winced as she pulled the piercing tones of her best friend away from her ear.

"Usagi, aren't you supposed to be spending today with your family?"

"They're not all here yet."

"Really? Who's missing?"

"YOU, silly! Now are you coming over or what? I know, I'll see you in 10 minutes!"

Lita hung up the phone with a silly smile on her face and was still smiling when she knocked on Usagi's door 10 minutes later.

b. Friends

He watched them enviously. The way they all sat together, ate together, laughed together. The way they finished each others sentences, played with each others hair (not that he ever wanted to do that…well….maybe)

The way they were friends.

And suddenly he wished he had friends like that.

c. Food

Everything was almost perfect. The decorations were in place, looking like they had never been used before. The crystal punch bowl was glittering in the centre of the table, surrounded by an array of dishes. One last dish was slid into place and he stepped back to look critically at the finished product.

He looked again.

"WHO ATE ONE OF THE CHOCOLATES?"

d. Visiting

Outwardly she looked calm, cool and collected as always. Inwardly was a whole different story. Her mind was whirling with plans and theories and questions.

Always, it came back to one question.

How do I get her to go and see him?

e. Picnic

Skipping through the park she made a very pretty picture. Her blue eyes sparkled with good humor, she managed to not trip over her hair or run into anyone. It was obvious that she was going to meet someone she truly loved.

Skipping over to a clearing, she threw herself down on the picnic blanket that had been set up.

"Ami-chan! It's so good to see you!"

f. Vacation

Minako looked up at the clock. Its hands had not move by so much as an inch since the last time she looked. She sighed, played with her hair, inspected her fingernails, pondered the next color she would use on them (not that it mattered, for every time she transformed her nail polish was orange) and looked at the clock again.

4 minutes.

3 minutes.

2 minutes.

She managed to stop herself from nibbling on one of her nails as she waited for the clock to change.

1 minute.

The bell went.

"FREE! See you guys in 3 weeks, I am SO outta here!"

"Umm….Minako-chan?"

"What?"

"It's lunchtime."

g. Celebration

Four girls in sailor suits could be seen lounging around in the park. They seemed to be holding up glasses of champagne and toasting something. However, to a casual passerby (or to Mamoru, who wasn't quite so casually passing by) the words made no sense.

"To health!"

"To love!"

"To nature!"

"To victory!"

There was a pause.

"To the best friends ever!"
