"Hey Ally."

"Haha.. Ha.. Haha. Heyyy." Ally forced one of her fake laughs at the sight of Austin in hopes of acting cool. Austin looked at her like she was insane and the smile swept off her face. Things had gotten awkward since they broke up. Although they thought that staying apart would help them keep their friendship, it turned out that their friendly relationship was still uncomfortable since they both knew that they had feelings for each other.

"Mind if Dez and I chill here for a while?" Austin asked.

Ally gave up on trying to act cool send a sincere look crept on her face.

"Austin, you know that whatever happens between us, it doesn't change our friendship. Of course you can stay here. You can chill here whenever you want."

"Thanks Ally." Austin said with a smile.

Ally just gave a friendly smile back and continued working at the counter.

Trish appeared in the doorway.

"Guess who got a job at the cell phone accessory cart?"

Dez emerged from where he and Austin were playing guitar tennis and spoke. "You mean you're working with Dallas now?"

"No, I'm replacing that jerk," Ally smiled at Trish's statement. "apparently his parents made him quit since he was failing two of his classes."

"Does that mean I get a discount on a phone case?" Dez asked hopefully.

"No, but it means that you can buy one for the same price!" Trish responded enthusiastically.

"Yay!"

Dez and Trish both left the Sonic Boom and headed towards the cell phone accessory cart, Dez speeding ahead.

Suddenly it became extremely awkward in the Sonic Boom between Austin and Ally.

"Soooo..." They both said at the same time.

"Ally, look." Austin began as he walked up to the counter where Ally was standing. "I know we broke up and all, but things are still weird between us now that we both know we like each other."

"When you say like, do you mean like as in... Currently?" Ally said awkwardly.

Austin looked down and began: "Well...I mean...yea..." Stull keeping his head down, he looked up at Ally.

She smiled.

"I know what you mean Austin, but things were weird when we were going out and I don't want it to be like that." Ally admitted.

"What if it's not? What if we learn from our mistakes and try again...?"

Ally sighed. "Austin, I don't know..."

He looked at her hopefully and then she met his eyes. Those pleading eyes asking her to go out with them were too irresistible.
