A Happy Future

The Doctor sat there with his hair all ruffled, a grin on his face and small tears glistening in his eyes. He lovingly gazed down at the small, pink bundle he held in his arms as he sat gently rocking in a chair. The Doctor snuck a glance to his side to see his precious Rose Tyler laying on one of the TARDIS hospital beds with a tired but happy gleam in her eye.

"Have you decided on a name yet, Doctor?" Rose quietly asked.

"'Annabelle," The Doctor replied with a slight smirk, "Annabelle Jacqueline Rose Tyler."

Rose merely hummed in content as she drifted off to sleep. The Doctor placed a loving kiss on her forehead and then focused his attention back on his perfect pink and yellow daughter.

"Hello there little one," he started, "I'm your daddy." The small bundle peered her eyes up at the Doctor and scrunched her nose at him with a small grin. "Daddy and mummy love you very much, precious girl. You're our little miracle and daddy will do anything to keep you safe." The Doctor continued to watch his daughter give a tiny sneeze and promptly fall asleep in his arms. He gave her a small kiss and continued to rock back and forth.

"Well it looks like someone already has their daddy wrapped around her little finger." The Doctor looked up to see Jackie Tyler leaning against the doorframe. The Doctor blushed while motioning for Jackie to be quiet for the two sleeping figures. Both Rose and the Doctor decided they wanted Jackie and the one and only Captain Jack Harkness present for the birth. Jackie because she is Rose's mum and of course grandmum to Annabelle. Jack because they both considered him to be their best friend as well as Annabelle's godfather. Jack appeared in the doorway after Jackie had moved to sit in a chair at the opposite side of Rose's bed.

"Hey stop hogging my godchild, Doctor." Jack said with a smirk. "Annie here wants to see her favorite uncle."

"You're her only uncle, Jack." The Doctor reminded him.

"Still doesn't mean I'm not her favorite." The Doctor merely rolled his eyes at Jack's comment.

After both Jackie and Jack had each had a chance to meet and hold little Annabelle, Rose started to wake up. The Doctor helped her sit up so she could hold her daughter. The Doctor sat behind her, his chest to her back, supporting both of his girls. Jack and Jackie slowly headed out of the room and toward the TARDIS kitchen to give the new family some time alone.

"Hello Annabelle, I'm your mummy and I love you very, very much." Annabelle cooed quietly and nuzzled closer to Rose. The Doctor placed little kisses on Rose's jaw, cheeks and hairline. He was ecstatic to be a father again and especially happy that he got to have a family with his Rose.

Rose hummed in content as she slowly fell asleep in the Doctor's arms. The Doctor knew that there was nowhere else in all of space and time he'd rather be at the moment. He telepathically asked the TARDIS to dim the lights as he slowly drifted off with his two favorite girls.

"Goodnight my love," he quietly whispered into Rose's ear. "Goodnight my princess," he added as he kissed Annabelle's head. The Doctor was finally content with his life and was excited to find out what the future held for the three of them.
