The sunlight poured out my window, and glittered over my puny bed. I woke up, stretched and yawned. I rolled out of bed and opened my curtains to see a quite dull street. It was summer time in my little old boring town. During the summer I delivered papers. Because for some strange reason, this might sound dumb, I like to deliver things. I know that sounds crazy, like getting up in 4 in the morning and riding around deliver the stupid town paper. But I like it.
After my daily round around my neighborhood, I came home as always. It was Sunday. Every Sunday I run. I don't just run. I run for a purpose; I run track.
Strangely my amazing mother wasn't home. My mother is the only family member I have. She has blue eyes just like me. I have curly brown hair. While she had strait blonde hair. She says that I got my hair from my father.
My father is gone. I don't know where he is. Don't know what he looks like. Don't know what he looks like. Most of all, I don't know why he left.
Anyways, like I was saying. Mom wasn't home. I just thought that she went on her daily "short" run. She like runs 10 miles a day. Mom's a marathon runner. Apparently just like my dad.
My only friend Isabel came to pick me up with her Dad. We all drove in his stunning BMW to the meet.
The first heat consisting of: me, Isabel, and four other kids. The parent's screams seemed to dissolve in the backround. The only thing I could hear was my nervous heart beating.
" Ready, set, go!" yelled the starter
Off we went, well, I went. See when I run some smoke comes beneath my feet. I saw the finish line right before my very eyes. Suddenly! I saw my terrified mother in the hands of a enormous monster.
What the heck is that thing doing to my mom?
I runned off the track, jumped over the fence, and climbed up the huge hairy leg of the beast. I looked back to see if anyone is seeing what I'm seeing. But no one seemed to notice.
