I'm fairly average for a teenager. Longish blonde hair, green eyes, shortish. Lover of grunge-folk, black skinny jeans and books. But people always forget about me. They always remember my older sister, melody - or should I say river. After my mum and dad stopped travelling, and after the incident in Utah, they finally settled down, in a house in North London. Never too far away from the action. my name? Allegra. Allegra Pond
Although my parents had two kids, my older sister was never home. Mum kept a room for her, just in case she dropped in. I never knew her. Not even when we were kids. I always wonder what to say when people ask me wether I've got a brother or sister. Because it doesn't feel like I do. It just feels wrong to say no, because I know she's out there somewhere.
Everything was as normal as could be expected for me. Being a teenager and all.. But one day, my parents received a visit from an old family friend. I didn't hear him come in; I was out, in town. I clattered clumsily through the door and was immediately greeted by my mother yelling from the upstairs living room -"Allie! Get up here!" I walked in the room to see my mum, and a stranger. I knew who he was straight away, from stories mum used to tell me when I was little.
"Doctor"
"Allie?" he said my name carefully, as if he was trying it out on his tongue. It seemed it tasted nice...
"What's it short for?"
"Allegra"
"Amy!" he exclaimed to my mum "Go to town on the music themed names, why don't you!"
Mum just shrugged, and The Doctor turned back to me.
"So, Allie, wanna come with me?"
I could only stare in amazement.
Was this really happening? The one person I had dreamed all my life of meeting, and there he was, offering me the chance to fly away with him. Of Course I wanted to. I glanced at my mother, who gave a exasperated sigh and nodded. I squealed - "YES! yes yes yes! Thank you so much, just give me a minute."
"Sure, I'll still be here.." mum stared at him hard. "I Promise!"
I ran upstairs, grabbed my favorite bag, the navy one with the stars on it, threw in my iTouch, phone, sketch pad and a change of underwear. I grabbed my favorite hoodie, the TARDIS blue one, and ran back downstairs. I was already dressed in my favorite outfit, black skinnies, grey tank and light blue overshirt. I ran back down the stairs, stumbling a bit.
"Where is he?" I gasped as I ran in the living room, where now only my mother was. She replied "he's parked out the back." I started down the next flight of stairs and she called me back into the room. "Be safe okay?."
"I will"
