Wish
A Cardcaptor Sakura Fanfiction

Summary: In a world where no shades of colour possibly exist except for the neutrals, a change is about to begin. This is about a simple wish that brought about a miracle in motion, for all of eternity.
Disclaimer: Sadly, I do not own Cardcaptor Sakura. The anime, manga, cards and what not intellectual property entirely belong to their respective owners.
Prologue – Promised Eternity
"You do not belong here. You are of an unearthly shade. They are of shades of black, gray, brown and all colours dull. You are not. In the shades of grey, you are the only vibrant colour in this world. I will not let you get into harm because of that." He spoke with determination, staring at her intently with longing, with admiration.
She shook her head, "There are no absolutes. I maybe of vibrant colour but I wish to tell you… There are no absolutes, only shades in between. That is what makes the world different and what you don't realize is…. That you are different too."
Without warning, she gave him a warm, bright smile, lighting up the features of his face as he too no longer looked so sullen. The young woman walked up to him, her cinnamon hair swaying gently against her black scarf covering it. "You cannot stay here. It is dangerous for you to do so. To defy the Goddess means to seek your death. I must remain here, this is my punishment, and this is my fate."
Syaoran shook his head, smiling ruefully, "Without you, I have no future, I have no hope, and I have no wish to continue to live." He cupped her cheeks gently, looking down to see her vividly verdigris eyes. "If I have to pit against the world to pursue you, to have you back in my embrace to be mine, I will do it. Because, Sakura, I love you and nothing in the world can stop me." He bent down and kissed those soft, rose tinted lips that he had been longed to touch yet again. As he did so, a flood of warmth spread through him, gushing through his entire being.
He then pulled back, smirking at the lovely sight of the flushed face before him. "You don't have to answer me. Just keep me in mind until the end when we can be together again. Believe; believe in your most powerful phrase, my sweet. Everything will be alright."
As soon as he came, he left as quickly as well, leaving nothing but a soft flurry of robes rushing past her as he jumped out of the window. Sakura quickly rushed to it, "S-Syaoran! I… I… I'll be waiting!"
He looked up at the fair maiden that had caught his heart and smiled beatifically, sending a kiss. "Nothing can keep me away, till we can finally be together, Sakura." His horse, Madelia, quickly started into a gallop away from the religious building, built from crystal and what seemed to be indestructible quartz, giving it a light pale pink tint in the vermillion sunset.
As she walked back to the pedestal where Myella, the Goddess, lay asleep in slumber in stone, she knelt neatly, her hands clasped against her heart in front of her as she bent her head in prayer of an impossible wish…
As the sun slowly disappears in the horizons of the deserted forest, a glow of light fills the halls of her Providence, the maiden in all her beauty had turned into an intricate halcyon glass statue in the same position as she was as she bowed her head in askance for a miracle to appear…
And so, it began, the prayer for a Promised Eternity, the blessings for a new beginning.
So… this is my new fanfic! For some reason the horizontal line break had trouble appearing. Anyways! I had a hard time coming out with the details of the prologue without giving too many details on how it would be like! So, please read and review! Do tell me your thoughts on this fanfic of mine! Any feedback is greatly appreciated! :)
Alana! :D
