A/N: Ok guys, this is my first story that I've published, so if you got ideas how I can improve it, leave a review or PM me. I've actually had this idea for a while now, but I just got around to writing it out and I am excited to see how it's going to turn out! So now that I've wasted enough of your time with this crappy intro, hope you enjoy this story!

Edit (13/01/2018): I drew a cover image for this story. Let me know if your eyes hurt looking at it.

Prologue

Unexpected Meetings

Peaceful. That one word perfectly described the beautiful scenery. The waters were crystal clear; the sun hung low, magnificently reflecting its light upon the seas, further increasing the serenity. Rocky arpeggios scattered themselves as far as the eye could see. Ironically, this was the New World, a violate sea that only held the strongest of sailors. But the scenery could easily have had most believe that they were back in the East Blue, the calmest of the world's oceans.

"GAAAAAAAAAARP!" shouted a voice that broke the short-lived calmness only seen in a hundred years.

"Bwahahaha!" laughed a very amused, yet slightly aged marine. "That was a close one Sengoku!" said Garp narrowly missing another arch, but losing yet another piece of the huge battleship that they both sailed on.

"We only left the marines a few days ago, and we might die before we even hit land!" shouted a very angry Sengoku.

"It was your idea to permanently leave the marines. Who knew instructing new recruits could piss you off so much?" asked Garp, laughing.

"They were the densest creatures I have ever met in my 45 years of service! Some even worse than you!" shouted Sengoku, earning another laugh from Garp.

"Whatever, you owe me your ass as soon as we hit land, " said Sengoku before he headed below deck. It has been 3 years after the Marineford War. In the 3 years he had officially resigned and became a marine instructor, he had successfully raised 2 admirals: Fujitora and Ryokugyo.

But recently, Garp and himself had been downgraded to instruct the new NCMs of the Marines. Even the Warrant Officers, the highest rank in the Infantry and Sailor divisions, were complete imbeciles. In some cases, he thought even the Straw Hats weren't as simple minded. So 3 days ago, Garp and himself marched straight into the office of the Gorosei, handed in their resignation forms, then promptly left before a single word was spoken.

Sighing, he laid on his makeshift bed of straw and off-handily grumbled about selling Garp on the flea market when they land before drifting off to his nap.

Sengoku woke up to thunder and rain pounding against the hull of the ship. A roar as powerful as a turbine pierced the air, shaking the ship. Above deck, he heard shouting along the lines of "Take this! And this! And this!"

Sprinting up the stairs leading up to the deck, he was surprised to come face-to-face with a humongous sea king. Turning around, he watched as Garp picked up anything within an arms distance of himself and hurl it at the numerous sea kings surrounding the ship. Tables, chairs, oh god, his marine medals wrapped into a ball; everything was ammunition in the hands of Garp.

"We sailed into a sea king nest!" shouted Garp over the pounding rain and thunder.

Sengoku sighed before he walked to the middle of the deck and closed his eyes. They flashed open as he suddenly grew 30 feet, turning himself into a giant Buddha statue. A swift punch to the rear of the ship sent a golden concussive blast that ripped apart several sea kings.

"I've got the bow, take the stern of the ship!" shouted Garp before he picked up a picnic table that Sengoku was particularly fond of and hurled it at near supersonic speeds, tearing through any sea king lined up behind his target.

Sengoku nodded before rushing back towards the stern and sending out another, larger concussive blast.

"Garp, there are too many of them!" shouted Sengoku.

Garp knew what he meant. He was going to do it.

"Let's do this then!" Garp shouted back, watching Sengoku nimbly leap up the crow's nest before taking a powerful bound into the sky, seemingly floating.

Sengoku closed his eyes and for a brief moment, the world stood still. Suddenly, his eyes flashed open with the anger of a god, as Garp took cover.

"Radiant Sweep!" shouted Sengoku as a concussive wave of golden energy blasted from his body, annihilating every sea king in the area and shaking the seas around them. When the light cleared, there were no bodies left of any of the sea kings; it was as if they were completely incinerated by the blast.

Sengoku transformed midair before landing beside Garp, surveying the damage done to the ship.

The 2 remained silent for a second before Garp broke out in a laugh

"Bwahahaha, that was close! We killed its children and now it's pissed off!" said Garp proudly laughing despite what the 2 had just experienced.

"What?" asked Sengoku, catching the last part of Garp's line.

"I said that we killed its children and now it is angrier than you were when you watched a new recruit play Russian roulette with a semi-automatic pistol!" said Garp, laughing harder than before.

As if on cue, a humongous tentacled monster bursted out of the waters, flailing its hundreds of arms wildly in the air. The spikes were large enough to pierce the ship, and its murderous eyes mixed with the rain and thunder surrounding the 2 made it seem as though it came from hell itself.

Its roar was earthshaking, and the spines on its head shook along with the raging waters. The 100 foot monster adverted its gaze towards the 2 men who slaughtered its children, letting loose another earsplitting roar. Despite all of this, the 2 admiral level sailors were unfazed to the slightest, Garp even smiling as he store the monster down.

Sengoku merely sighed and shook his head. "Garp, how do I always end up in these situations when I sail with you?"

Garp laughed again, walking close enough to the bow so that he could stare into those eyes that were larger than himself.

"It's the call of the sea!" he said to Sengoku, not facing him. "Leave now sea brat! You're a million years too young to take me on!" he shouted directly into the monster's eye.

He was met by a roar and was knocked into the mast of the ship by a tentacle, sending splashes of water mist everywhere. When the scene cleared, it's eyes widened, knowing it's chances of survival had dropped tenfold.

Garp was grinning like a madman, having caught the tentacle and with his unhuman strength. He lifted the monster out of the water by the tentacle before throwing it over the ship. Its crash back into the water sent tsunami sized waves out in all directions, nearly capsizing the ship.

Garp, not finished yet, ripped the mast off of the ship and continued to beat the monster with it, much to Sengoku's horror. The dangerous squid-like creature that normally sent many a sailor down into the locker below the seas was now a poor creature being battered by a 40 foot mast.

"YOU IDIOT!" shouted Sengoku punching Garp and knocking him off of his feet.

"WHAT THE HELL WAS THAT FOR!" shouted Garp getting back up and grabbing Sengoku by the collar

"WE'RE GOING TO SINK DAMMIT!" shouted Sengoku, also grabbing onto Garp's collar.

"NO WE AREN'T! WHAT ARE THE CHANCES OF THAT!?" shouted Garp, not noticing the monster had recovered and out of fear, retreated beneath the seas. The resulting waves from its descent, mixed with a ship with no mast, capsized the sea vessel and left the 2 men falling to the sea.

"LET GO OF ME!" shouted Garp with Sengoku clinging firmly to his body

Both were struggling to keep afloat. One was because of a power he was granted in exchange for the inability to swim. The other was quite literally being strangled with the chokehold he was put in.

"I CAN'T! I AM A DEVIL FRUIT USER! USE YOUR GEPPO AND GET US OUT OF HERE!" shouted Sengoku sinking so now he was holding Garp by his legs.

"I CAN'T IF YOU'RE HOLDING ON TO MY LEGS!" retorted Garp.

While the 2 men continued their bickering, the sky quickly cleared and the storm stopped, demonstrating the ever changing and unpredictable weather of the New World.

"BRFGGHH!" came a sound that quickly snapped the 2 out of their argument. Also unknown to them was a splash that landed in front of them in the midst of their arguing.

Before they could say anything, 2 more splashes appeared around them. Expecting an attack, Garp struggled and threw Sengoku off (much to his dismay) and got into a marine in-water fighting stance. Quicker than he thought however, a figure grabbed onto Sengoku and himself before taking a powerful leap to the sky.

In a blink, he found himself and Sengoku on solid ground. Not letting his guard down, Garp leapt to his feet, ready to run down anything or anyone. But as soon as he fully took in his surroundings, he found he was at the last place he'd expect any sane person to be near.

Garp grinned. Sengoku scowled.

Of all rescuers possible, it had to be his grandson and his crew. The Straw Hat Pirates.

Moral justice and absolute justice will collide with chaotic good! What will happen now that the most wanted rookies of the Worst Generation are now in front of the strongest of the marines?! The shenanigans will continue next chapter!
