In the back of my mind
She is young and innocent
Sweet and smart
She is the fire in my veins
That makes me live another day
I stand for hours getting dressed
Picking the perfect outfit
So just maybe you'll say I look cute today
Eyes covered with charcoal so black
You can't see me breaking
Drown in cherry liquid
Wishing you knew
That this pain in my heart
Is my love burning for you
On the outside I'm calm, collected
Strong and independent
On the inside my world is crumbled, broken
Lying on top of me like a blanket of guilt
You crawled under my skin
Ripped and shredded until
At last you found the source of my depression
But still you look over the fact
That even though I'm with him
My eyes are always locked on you
