NOTE: This is my view of the Shooting, what I think, not what I think Alfred would think. I just wanted to dedicate something to the victims since I don't have anything to offer them and their families.

I don't own.

Arthur entered the meeting room. He picked up the laptop, and plugged in the projector. He turned around, hoping to get some tea, and was greeted with the sight of a figure in a hoodie and jeans holding a cup of coffee.

"Hello Alfred." Arthur said tentatively. Matthew did say he was a bit upset, but he didn't say why.

"..." There was no reply. Alfred just looked at Arthur and took a long sip of his coffee. You could clearly see unshed tears in his eyes.

Arthur was about to say something when his phone rang, playing the British national anthem.

He picked it up, since it was his boss. When he heard the news, an ear to ear gin slid it's way onto his face.

"Alfred! The Duchess of Cambridge is pregnant!" Arthur said, his face brighter than the sun. "To celebrate, I'll take you out for some burgers!"

Alfred contemplated it, but then shook his head. The joyous expression on Arthur's face melted. He took Alfred's hand. "Alfred, I heard something happened. Would you mind telling me what happened?"

Alfred looked at Arthur, a tear slipping down his face. He looked down at the table, and shook his head.

Arthur frowned. Something is seriously wrong... Arthur thought.

Apparently no one but Matthew and Gilbert knew what happened, and Gilbert because he was Matthew's boyfriend. They were sworn to secrecy.

After everyone (except Alfred, since he was sans presentation) presented, Alfred got up, surprising everyone. In a voice quieter than Matthew's, he said: "Lets have a moment of silence for everyone that died today."

Everyone was stunned. This was the hamburger loving nation who could be loud and boisterous at times, yet most people loved?

Arthur decided to ask the question everyone was thinking. "Alfred, please tell us what happened."

Alfred locked eyes with Matthew, and Gilbert who both nodded. He took a deep breath and started.

"Yesterday, a man named Adam Lanza entered a school in one of my states, Connecticut. He then pulled a gun on...on 20 kids from the ages 5-10 and 6 adults.

"It sickens me. It sickens me greatly that one of my citizens was so corrupted that he could look a child in the eyes and claim her life. And it is so close to Christmas. Their presents are probably still wrapped up, sitting there, never to be opened.

"They had their whole lives ahead of them. They never experienced what it was like to love, to graduate. They never experienced middle school, and they never felt what it would've been like to drive, to feel the wind though their hair." He had started crying. Many of the other nations were crying also. Matthew and Gilbert were just sitting there, having heard the story before. The rest of the countries, like Arthur, were sitting there shell-shocked.

Alfred started to leave, but a hand grabbed on to him. He looked behind him to see Arthur holding on to him. Arthur then hugged him, surprising the taller nation. The other nations also stood up. Some hugged him, like Feliciano, who was blubbering. The rest put their hands on his shoulder, and they all cried for the children.

Ugh. Now I'm crying.

This fic is dedicated to the families of the victims of the Connecticut shooting. What Alfie said, that's my real opinion. It does sicken me.

If you're crying, I didn't mean to make you cry.
