What Has Become Of Us

Chapter 1: Awake

Freddy felt himself wake up. Electricity flowing through his limbs making them able to be moved. His eyes opened up, jarred to life. Freddy looked around where he was, it was one of the basements in the Pizzeria. Spider webs covered the corners of the room; the only sound was the small squeak coming from a ceiling fan on the roof. Freddy stood up, having some trouble getting up from just waking up. He realized how much dust was on his body. The brown fur almost covered in grey. Freddy wiped the dust off his body the best he could before inspecting the room. The cement walls cast off a glow from a dangling light bulb. The bear started moving towards the wooden door. He opened it, a squeaking sound coming from its hinges. Freddy looked on in horror when he realized. The Pizzeria has… changed, and not in a good way. The walls were covered in ripped posters and spider webs. Stains of all kinds covered the floor and walls. The ceiling had pieces of it missing, showing ventilation systems and wires. The lights were only a dim flicker that slightly illuminated the hallway. What was a children's Pizzeria has turned in to a… wasteland. Freddy started making his way down the hallway. The floorboards creaked slightly to his footsteps. He made his way down the hall, looking at the walls in horror. Pictures made from children were scribbled over.

Pizza, Kids, Eat.

Freddy felt chills down his spine. He ignored the picture and continued his way down the hallway till something caught his eye. It almost covered an entire wall, hugely in size. What was in front of Freddy was a painting, by hand. It resembled a humanoid figure, drawn sloppy and hastily. The figure covered the wall. What caught his eye the most was the color. Purple. It reminded him of a bird in a way. He was about to leave when he noticed the words under the crude painting.

He Guides Us

If Freddy wasn't scarred yet, he was now. The bear slowly made his way to the central room. His eyes widened at the sight before him. The party room was a nightmare; chairs and tables were flipped over or completely broken. The stage's drapes were torn down, leaving a massive red sheet lying on the floor. The windows and door were all boarded up, the light casted through the slivers of the window the boards failed to cover. The carpeted floor had strips missing from it, revealing the hard wood beneath. Freddy gasped when he saw the scenery before stepping into the room himself. The bear thought to himself as he studied the room around him. "What the hell happened?" Freddy thought to himself. The bear paused when he noticed a flyer on the ground. He bent down and picked it up, reading it to himself.

Freddy Fazbear's Pizzeria- Under Permanent Shutdown

The Fazbear's Franchise has lasted for decades, but recent events have caused the dynasty to close down. Multiple homicides have been reported throughout the previous weeks, causing massive decrease of income. The beloved restaurant will close down next Tuesday, all we wonder is what will come of our favorite animatronic friends.

Freddy was in shock. He had never known about this. Or maybe he did? Freddy couldn't remember much since waking up. All he knew was he was in this Pizzeria with his working partners. He had never known about the shutdown however. Questions started to barrage his mind as he wondered about his predicament. Although a wave of sadness washed over him at the thought of his home being shutdown. This was his home right? He worked here for all he could remember. Technically it was his home.

It didn't matter, home or not. He loved this place like his own brother. And it hurt to see the Pizzeria shape. Freddy suddenly felt the feeling of loneliness. Absolute isolation. And he didn't like it one bit. Freddy shuddered and sat down on the edge of the giant stage. The brim of the stage had light bulbs, some broken on the floor, some completely missing. The bear looked around once more before putting his paws over his face and went slouched over. Freddy felt like he was in a nightmare. None of this felt right, or normal in the slightest. The bear felt himself on the verge of tears, till he heard a sound. Then the sounds of whispers. Freddy's head flicked upward and looked in the direction for the source of the sound. It was coming from the Kitchen. Or at least he thought it was. The sign was hanging by one nail over a pair of steel push able doors. Freddy slowly got up and paced over to them. He made sure to silence his footsteps the best he could. When Freddy eventually made his way to the doors he put one of his ears to the wall, hoping he could hear more.

"It's ok Timmy. Eat as much as you can. Eat children. I love you kids. Eat, Eat, Eat!"

It was a feminine voice that sounded familiar to Freddy. The bear slowly creaked open the steel door slightly. Enough so he could see inside. What he saw sent chills through his body. There was Chica, her fur was ruffled hastily. The Chicken sat on small table, in her own chair. She had an open box of pizza in front of her. Weirder however, was that she held up a slice in the air, pushing towards an empty seat. "Jonny, eat up! You'll be big and strong, same as your parents!" She thrust the slice towards and empty spot on the table, settling it down gently in front of an empty chair. Chica watched intently before clapping, wearing the biggest smile Freddy has ever seen.

Freddy watched in shock. "What the hell…" The bear thought. Freddy slowly started to close the door when the hinges squeaked loudly. The bear's insides swirled when Chica's head whipped to the side and stared at Freddy. "Oh bloody hell"

Chica quickly got up and looked at the bear with intent. Freddy watched her eyes and saw something inside of her click. "Freddy! You got here just in time. Help me feed the children!" She smiled and clapped to herself. Freddy's brow rose when he saw, not a single soul in the Kitchen. Other than Chica. The chicken got out of her seat and rushed towards the bear, much to his disapproval. Freddy gasped as Chica rushed over, grabbing one of his paws, and forcing him towards the table. The bear reluctantly sat down on one of the empty chairs that faced Chica. She just stared at Freddy, deep in his eyes. Freddy would be lying if he said he comfortable. He was far from it.

"Why don't you give a slice?" Chica said, pointing towards the pizza. Freddy calmly reached over and took a slice. It felt like anything the bear did drastically would…set her off. Freddy held the slice in the air with a quizzical look.

"W-Where do I…"

"To your left Freddy." Chica's voice changed from ecstatic and cheerful to almost demonic. Freddy gulped audibly in response and slowly moved his arm to the left. "He's starving Freddy." Chica's eyebrows curved downward as she gave Freddy devilish eyes. The bear looked in absent horror, urging to ask a question but silenced the thought. Freddy brought his arm to the left and slowly settled the pizza slice on the table. Chica's face changed back to happiness and content. For Freddy he feared for his life. In a way he didn't feel safe, yet he noticed that this was one of the people he apparently sang with. Performed with. How could've he dealt with her before?

Freddy, lost in thought, didn't realize the facial expression he was showing off. His face seemed paralyzed in shock and terror. To Chica however, it was prominent. "Freddy? Are you ok?"

"Wha?" Freddy said, clearing his thought away.

"Freddy… are you sad to see me?"

"W-What? Of course not." Freddy lied through his teeth. He wanted nothing more than to leave that kitchen and never come back.

"F-Freddy I'm ok. I'm fine." Chica said, sadness in her voice. Freddy knew something was… wrong. She wasn't fine. Chica seemed… unstable, almost breakable in a physiological way. Freddy only starred before responded.

"You're fine." Freddy replied in a calm tone.

"I-I'm the one who looks after the kids here!" Chica started tearing up as she spoke with hatred in her voice. "The other's don't do anything!" With the last word, she rose out of her seat and smashed her hands on the table, causing Freddy to cringe.

"C-Chica… It's ok." Freddy spoke softly. He was terrified surely but didn't want to make matters worse.

"Freddy no it's not! I follow the rules! I entertain the kids! They are my everything!" Chica screamed and started smashing her hands on the table repeatedly, tears streaming down her face. Freddy quickly moved backwards, rising from his chair, facing Chica. The bear went into distress, not knowing what to do.

"Lass, ye need ta calm down."

Freddy turned towards the kitchen door to see… a fox of sorts. The figure looked like a fox but you couldn't be sure because of the holes and rust marks. Patches of fur that weren't missing were heaps of clutters, similar to Chica. Their fur both matched words like "frantic" or "misshaped". The figure also resembled a pirate in a way, wearing an eyepatch accustomed with a rusty pirate accent. Tattered brown shorts covered most of his bottom half leaving big feet for the ground. Anyway the fox like figure slowly walked into the kitchen, his eye switching focus on Freddy and Chica. "Ye be scarring the littleuns, lass."

Chica's face went pale, void of emotion, color, and life. She looked over at the empty seats and sadness washed over her. "I-I'm sorry! Oh god I'm s-sorry!"

Freddy, whilst the commotion, was so misunderstood about his situation. He couldn't help but feel bad seeing the chicken cry and repeatedly apologize to… nothing. What caught his attention was the fox figure, starring at him, motioning with a paw to follow him. Freddy started walking towards the figure moving slowly and quietly, trying to drown out his footsteps from Chica's screams.

Freddy made it to the figure as they both silently crept towards the kitchen doors. The fox pushed it open, both of them stepping out. The last thing Freddy could hear as the doors closed was, "Don't leave me again kids!"

With Freddy and the fox successfully leaving the kitchen, they walked past the central plaza towards the other side. Both animatronics kept silent often looking at each other as they continued on. When they both reached the other side Freddy saw what he was intended to. Purple drapes covered an area spelled with broken lighted letters, "Pirate Cove". The entire area had chairs and tables broken similar to the Plaza. The fox figure stepped up to the curtains and opened them, suggesting Freddy to step inside. The bear, still shaken up with the events from the kitchen, slowly stepped forward. What Freddy saw astounded him. There was a small area, cement walls surrounding it akin to a basement. But what was different were the writings. Small words, flyers, pictures or sorts completely covered the walls. Freddy steeped towards one to examine it. White chalk lines connected different passages and sentences. Freddy followed a deeply covered line across the room with his eyes. He followed the line that went across the walls till its ending spot. In the middle of the room was a giant circle, all the lines from the walls converged to this circle that read in sharp letters, "FREDDY". The bear in question suddenly felt uneasy and turned around to leave but noticed the curtains were closed and the fox figure tying them up.

"Um What're you doing?" Freddy asked, fear present in his voice. The figure continued tying the curtains together.

"Just be tightening down the hatches."

The figure finished tying and turned around going face-to-face with Freddy. "The name be Foxy! Ye remember me ay?"

Foxy gave a toothy grin towards Freddy which made the bear a slight bit happy. The fox reached out for a handshake, which Freddy responded to but realized he felt metal. The bear suddenly looked down to see the hook which adorned his right hand. Freddy's eyes grew wide, catching the attention of Foxy. "Oh! Thar be me hook is all. Won't cause ye harm!"

Freddy relaxed and accepted the handshake. He could trust Foxy, at least he hoped so. At this point it seemed like nothing in this building was safe to be around. For Freddy it seemed like Foxy was shining beams of light in this dark pizzeria.

"My name's Freddy, but you probably know that." Freddy said, pointing towards his name drawn across the floor.

"Fred… ye do remember me don't ye?" Foxy asked, putting a paw on his chest. For Freddy he tried to remember the best he could. All he could muster was that he had three other friends who performed with him.

"I-I don't remember much Foxy. I'm sorry." Foxy's face turned from upbeat to slumped, sadness present in his face.

"Freddy it be awhile."

"What do you mean?"

"Freddy it be eight years. Eight years since ye performed."

Freddy's mind went to a halt as he processed this new information. No wonder the pizzeria looked destroyed and rotten.

"I-I don't understand…" Freddy spoke. Foxy noticed and put his paw n' hook on Freddy's shoulders.

"F-Fred, ye been asleep for awhile. Ye have come back to save te matey's!"

Freddy's mind went a mile a minute. He tried processing it through but suddenly stopped. His mind and body went to a halt. Freddy went limp in Foxy's arms, collapsing on the floor.

"Fred? Ye be okay?" Foxy said, rushing over to Freddy's side. The bear's eyes closed as he fainted into slumber.
