The thunder made the sky grumble the high pitch lighting was enough to drive any dog nuts the wind outside sounded like ghost were rattling the widows.
Kate jumped awake she tried to calm herself down. Kate had hated thunder and lighting since she was six when she was at her parents cabin and the power went out causing her to scream and try to find her way in the dark causing her to run into a door and get a back eye.
She looked over at her boyfriend was peacefully how was he sleeping though that all that nose. The sky grumbled again making her jump she put her hand over a her beating heart and took a couple of deep breaths.
" Keep it together Kate," She said to herself under her breath.
She moved over to Castle and hid her face in his neck while she held some of his shirt in his fist. Rick opened his eyes slowly to see his girlfriend cuddled up to him he wrapped his arm around her and ran his fingers through her hair.
" Kate are you scared of the thunder and lighting?" Rick mumbled with sleep still in his voice. " No," she whimpered.
There was a long pause till. " Yes," she mumbled into his neck. " Stop grinning," Kate mumbled again. " I wasn't grinning," he shook his head.
" I thought you said you weren't a cuddlier?" Rick said. " I"m not normally cause I like my space but when there's something about your hugs that makes me feel safe and warm," Kate said looking up at him.
He pushed a curl behind her ear tugged her close and kissed her. " Goodnight," Rick said. " goodnight," Kate smiled and lied her head back on his chest.
