"Ahsoka, Maxxon, thank God you're here." Ahsoka glanced at the intern who had attempted to get her attention, quickly deciding he was not worth her time. She and her husband Maxxon strolled through the throne room doors at Landor's kingdom, her mind going a million miles a second.
They had been called here from Dumint to meet with the rest of the kingdom council about some sort of new threat. What it was, they did not know.
Ahsoka was jolted from her thoughts with a squeeze from her husband's hand and a look from his soft brown eyes. She gained confidence just looking at him. For some reason she always got nervous meeting with the council. Even though she was queen of the most powerful planet in the Forment system, she had married onto the throne. She was a stranger here, a foreign former jedi from lightyears away. It also didn't help that she was the only non-human ruler in all of the five planets.
"Ahsoka and Maxxon Stoon from Dumint." the announcer called toto the small party sitting around the table. She cringed. Why would they waste money on an announcer for such a small event? Especially one in such a critical situation.
She hadn't heard much about this new threat, but she had heard it put the entire system in danger. "You okay, darling?" Maxxon whispered to her. "With you, always." Ahsoka responded. Maxxon smirked. "Your romantic wit will never cease to amaze me."
Ahsoka smiled, God she loved him. It was a classic love story. After leaving the jedi order, she had enrolled in the best college she could get into far away from Coruscant. Of course she tried to keep in touch with her old masters but they eventually stopped talking. It was around that time when she met Maxxon, unbeknowenst to her at the time, a prince. Four years later she was happily married and queen of Dumint, a perfect life.
Ahsoka smoothed her silver gown before sitting at the table. Maxxon muttered an apoligy for their being late.
"Shall we start the meeting?" The cheery King Lorp asked in his way too loud voice. With nods around the table, her banged his gavel.
Sofi, Landor's queen, spoke first. "As you all know, yes, there is a threat to our five kingdoms. If it's a major one, we know not. An advisor from whoever's threatening us met with the Landor council yesterday, saying his boss demanded a planet for a space system his corporation is trying to build. He wants Dumint."
"The whole planet?" Ahsoka asked, dumbfounded. Sofi nodded. "Unfortunately, before you arrived, we were speaking about the four of our kingdoms' involvement in your dilemma and we have decided that we aren't getting involved at all."
"What?" Maxxon asked, shocked. "You're not gonna help us deal with this." The council did not make eye contact we him for a moment.
"Here's the destination the advisor told me to send you." Sofi said, still looking down. Ahsoka snatched the paper from her and, with her husband, strutted out of the room.
"They're not gonna be any help to us, are they?" Maxxon asked, annoyed. "Doubt it" his wife responded. She unfolded the piece of paper. it had a hastily scrawled set of coordinates. "Woah. This is far. This is... this is one of Corscant's moons."
"The jedi planet?" Maxxon asked, recieving only a nod in conformation from his wife, who seemed lost in thought.
"I suppose we'll have to go there." Ahsoka said slowly, coming out of her thoughts.
