Life's a Show
Everyone has a role to play in life, life's a stage really. You don't always get to pick your character either. I know I didn't pick mine. If given the opportunity I would be bigger, stronger, I wouldn't melt, I'd be powerful, like Will or Warren. We make do with what we have however, and I make do with being able to melt. Being a human popsicle. It's not very handy.
However, my role in our group of friends, well, I'm usually the butt of Zack's jokes, or the one someone is hauling out of a locker. I'm the smart one. I'm the homework help guy. I like being the homework help guy, that I wouldn't change.
Will is our leader. That's his role. I don't think he ever really wanted to be our leader, but it worked out that way. He could ask us to jump off a bridge with a rock tied to our heads, wearing nothing but socks, but say it in a way that would make us think "Well, ok...". Will is considerate as well, that's what makes him a good leader. He would never ask you to do something you really feel you cannot do.
Layla is our shrink in alot of ways. She tends to read your feelings, know when somethings up. She aways has the right thing to say. She's to sweet for her own good sometimes I think. I know that everyone talks to her, with the exception of maybe Warren who I think she has to track down. She's good at it though. You can come to her with any problem and she will do anything she can to help you find a solution. She's good at helping you in a way where it seems like you figured it out by yourself, she always plants the seed.
Magenta is our sarcastic one. Eqiupped with all the one liners you'd ever need. She wears her sarcasm like a shield, she's afraid of getting hurt. Don't let that stop you. She's incredibly smart, and you can have wonderful conversations with her. I love just talking to Magenta. I think most of us do. She has the most intresting stories and antidotes. She's a big confiedence booster in all her sarcasm too. I know that sounds totally conflicting but it's true. Sometimes when she makes a barb at your expense, she motivates you to do better, to prove her wrong. I think she knows she's doing it.
Zack is our comic relief. He's the stress reliever, he's got so many bad jokes. If your having a bad day, Zack is your man. While Zack is not goofy, he is funny. He doesn't like to see people upset, or down. He is on a mission to make you laugh and smile. And he will succeed or you will kill him trying.
Warren is our protector. Warren does not allow teasing. Not to us anymore. I think Warren has accepted us as his friends. He does not like people messing with Zack, Magenta, Layla, or Myself, and will vocalize that. People will listen, because they still hear him. Warren's also easy to talk to. Layla will help you come to the decision, but if you need flat out honesty, you go to Warren. He will tell you if you messed up.
We're all players in the show of life. We accept who are characters are whether that's what we wanted or not. All the players are needed to complete the show.
