This is character based. It is not slash, probably one of the only wrestling stories I'll ever write that isn't. It's just a short little oneshot with the Nexus after CM Punk's promo from last year. They really didn't mention Nexus after that promo…

I don't own anyone mentioned in this fic

"I've never seen such evil. You're like if the Iron Sheik had a baby with Rowdy Roddy Piper."—Homer Simpson.

"You're a fucking nutjob, you know that?" David's tone is incredulous, his eyes wide as he stares at the man before him. Punk ingores him. He's practically vibrating with energy and he's grinning like he's already won the title.

David had been surprised that he and the others had even found Punk when they'd made it to the Nexus locker room. He'd been sure that Punk would have already fled. But Punk is still there, still standing before him and it only confirms what David has been thinking.

"You're crazy." He sounds surprised even as the words come out of his mouth because he is surprised.

"I'm not crazy," Punk argues but there's not venom in his voice, no anger. He's in a good mood, can't even be angry at David's accusations.

"Uh…You really think that was a good idea?" Michael speaks up. He looks just as shocked as David feels.

"Best idea I've ever had." Punk's grin does not leave. He slaps David on the shoulder. "Anyway, I'm going to get out of here before the sheep come calling."

"But…don't you think you should talk to them…" Apologize, is on the tip of his tongue but he doesn't say it. "You know what they'll do to you after that." Fire him, most likely. And David wonders again why he did it, why he would risk it when he is so close to Money in the Bank.

"What are they going to do? Fine me? Fire me?" Punk seems unconcerned at these possibilities.

"Yes," David answers.

"You know, I've been saying this for the last two weeks…I'm leaving anyway. Besides, that? That was worth it." He grinned once again and then he's out the door before David or Michael can say anything else.

David sits next to Michael after he's gone. "He's crazy," David repeats and Michael nods.

"Yeah."

David's used to crazy. He's worked for both Wade Barrett and CM Punk and both have been crazy for a long time but this is a whole new level of crazy, a whole new level of anti-social, evil, craziness.

In the span of about seven minutes, Punk's pissed off John Cena, Triple H, Vince McMahon and probably every one of the higher ups within the company. He's taken his asshole status to new and extreme heights.

Then, as most narcissistic bad guys tend to do, he starts thinking about himself, and about how screwed Nexus will be if Punk does get himself fired. Actually he's been thinking about that since last week when Punk announced that he would be leaving but, at the time, David had thought Punk was bluffing.

"We're screwed, aren't we?" David asks out loud. Michael only sighs.

"Yep."
