Heat of Battle: Distraction
My communicator beeps
But I'm still half asleep
Luna nags
My mind drones her out
I rub the tired out of my eyes
Sneak past my mom
So tired of all my lies
Out the door
Down the street
My legs pumping more and more
Shoes clacking in a steady beat
Flashes of light
Cries of war
Piercing the night
Crystal raised high
Shouting the words
Embracing the power
Flowing through my veins
Changing my being
No longer the klutz Usagi
Warrior of love and justice
Sailor Moon
Thunder crackle
Flames sway
The youma screeches
But does not give way
At this point, I enter the fray
Give my speech
I have my say
Ropes shoot out
I jump to the side
Spin about, then shout
'Eeks! I could've died!'
Mars rolls her eyes
'Meatball Head.'
Anger boils
Battle forgotten
A tongue war ensues
And I sure don't wanna lose!
I am a distraction
A 'heat of battle' retraction
I am the light
I am the Moon
When all seems lost
Don't count me out too soon
Mercury scolds
And we're called back to the fight
We're in a plight
She's typing away
The youma attacks
Ding! Ding!
We're all back
Our brain girl discovers the weakness
The youma faces defeat
A combined power-up and then it's up to me
A swish of my sceptor
And the youma's dusted
I scream
I shout
I hug
I cheer
For I am a distraction
A 'heat of battle' retraction
I am the light
I am the Moon
When all seems lost
Don't count me out too soon
Hidden strength I possess
Courage in distress
Love to the greatest excess
That's why all my friends are at my guard and say
For it's just another battle day.
