The first time was... he couldn't remember. All he knew now was that he loved her. But it was too late. She was with him and he with her.
"Hey."
He turned to his fiancee. She wore a revealing reddish-brown dress with a considerable low cut. When she first did, he felt something ignite in him, sending fireworks everywhere. But now... nothing.
She notices his reaction, or in this case, lack of reaction and draws herself closer to him.
"You feeling alright?"
He notices the closeness and backs off a bit, forcing a smile on his face.
"Yeah. Never better."
She frowns in her heart and walks away, feeling that he needed some time for himself. He turns back to the mirror and stares at his suit. His hair was nicely gelled to the back of his head and his chin nicely shaved. And he notices a crack on his glasses.
Drats! Must've got it when I dropped it the other day.
He places his glasses on the dressing table as he carefully take aim.
"Oculus Reparo."
He turns to the owner of the voice and a smile inevitably creeps up his cheeks.
"Hermione."
"Harry."
They settle into a temporary comfortable silence as Harry picks up his rejuvenated glasses and wears them.
"Why is it that your glasses are always damaged?" Hermione finally asks as she sees the nose rest touch his nose bridge.
Shrugging, the boy gave a clueless, "I don't know. Maybe it just like being fixed by you."
And they laugh for a bit. After calming down, the two took each other's hands.
"So..." Harry starts, "Today is the big day for my 'sister'."
Letting out a chuckle, Hermione nods.
"Yep."
Pausing for a bit but hands still connected, he continues.
"I kind of understand how Ron felt when he had to hand Ginny over to me now."
And Hermione laughs again as they pull each other in for a hug.
"So... are you jealous?" She asks as she buries her head into his shoulder, as though she didn't want him to hear and yet at the same time, she did.
He froze for a moment, hesitant to speak, afraid that his voice would betray him. After what felt like an eternity, he answered.
"I... guess...?"
For a second, he thought he felt a smile on her lips on his shoulder but he quickly pushed it to the back of his head, afraid of the consequences should he dwell on the thought.
Just then, Luna entered the dressing room and paused for the two to break up. Noticing the third person's presence, the two broke out of their hug and turned to the smiling girl.
"It's time." She notifies.
And the two departed for their separate yet adjacent roads.
