Summary: Ever wonder why Grissom was so distracted during the meteor shower scene in Shooting Stars.
I can hear Brass and Catherine talking in the background and I really just wish they would shut up for a minute. The meteors streaking across the sky are absolutely breathtaking. I had wanted to schedule me and Sara off so we could go watch the shower together but we've been so busy, there was no way I could justify it. Our last night off together was over three weeks ago. She took me to her favorite stargazing spot. We packed a picnic lunch. If you can call it that at 2:00 a.m. I had made egg salad sandwiches and brought along cherry colas. Sara had made chocolate chip cookies for dessert. She was so adorable when she apologized for not making them from scratch. But I kissed her on the cheek and assured her that Pillsbury was okay with me. She poked her finger in my belly and I tried my best doughboy giggle. She laughed a deep throaty laugh and threw her head back. I took the opportunity to lick her long neck. When she looked into my eyes I saw a shooting star reflected in her dark orbs. It was the most perfect moment in my life. Brass is talking now, I guess I should acknowledge him.
God, I wish I was with Sara, watching the stars in her eyes.
