Hey guys! Starstruck was playing the other night and it reminded me of the idea I had when I first saw it. There was a virus on my computer ever since around then. Sorry, I'm almost done writing the next chapter of The Last Night. Hope you guys like this.

Jessica-struck

By Liz

"Shit!"

I'd just looked in the rearview mirror to see the paparazzi looking for my car. What was I supposed to do now? I guess I didn't have a choice…

Tap. Tap. Tap.

Jessica came to the door. "What do you want?"

"I will give you five thousand dollars if you hide me."

That's how I ended up in her grandma's garage.

"Do you think there's anything here that I can wear so that the paparazzi don't recognize me when I leave?" I asked.

"Um, look in those boxes," she said.

I did and found an old fishing hat. I put it on and turned to her. "How does it look?"

"That's my grandpa's old hat. He used to wear it when he'd take me fishing." The way that she said it told me that she'd lost her grandpa. I knew how that felt. I'd lost mine a few years ago.

"Oh, I'm sorry," I said, taking it off.

"No! Take it. It looks good on you anyways," she said.

There was an awkward silence.

"Um, thanks for the sleeping bag," I said.

"No problem," Jessica said.

I walked over to my car and opened the door. Jessica stood where she was.

"Christopher!"

I looked over at her. "Yeah?"

"I don't feel right making you sleep out here," she started to blush. "Why don't you sleep in my room? On the floor, I mean!"

"Thanks, uh, Jessica," I said. I shut the door and we went up to her room. It was small, but cozy.

"I'll be right back," she said, leaving with pajamas.

I set up my sleeping bag. Thank God there was carpet! Soon Jessica was back. She wore a pair of plaid, loose pajama pants and a white tank top. She tossed a pillow at me.

"Good night," she said, getting into bed and turning off her light.

"'Night," I said.

I lay there for so long. I couldn't get to sleep. I was surprised when I heard Jessica say something.

"Do you mind if I play some music?"

"No. That's actually how I get to sleep most of the time."

"Me, too."

I heard her get up. On a desk in the corner I saw a laptop light up. Soft music began to play. It was a song I liked. She got back in bed.

This was weird. Most girls seemed to really like 'me.' Jessica didn't seem like that. She was down to Earth and incredibly honest. I had to admit, I was really attracted to her.

I felt my eyelids begin to drop. I yawned. I rolled over a little and whispered, "Sweet dreams, Jess."

"You, too," her sleepy voice said.

So what'd ya think? For now it will be a oneshot, until I can finish The Last Night. That won't be for a little while. Well, I'm tired and I have school in the morning. Sweet dreams. He-he. My favorite line in this.
