Disclaimer: I own none of the characters or anything from the Harry Potter universe. This is the introductory chapter so it's not really long, it's more of a way for me to set the scene for the rest of the story to follow. That's pretty much it. I've posted this story on Wattpad before but I'm taking that down today because I much prefer to write on FanFiction so yeah. Enjoy.
The petite redhead rested her forehead against the cool, marble stone of the sink. Taking in deep breaths, she closed her eyes and focused on calming her erratic heartbeat. Checking the test again, a loud sob escaped her when she saw the results had not changed.
'This isn't happening,' she thought as she furiously wiped her eyes, 'it's not real. It's not real; the test is lying to me. I can't be pregnant at eighteen. I can't, my family will kill me.'
Standing up, the girl splashed water on her face, dried her eyes and walked out, plastering on a fake smile as she walked to her room, just in case any of her family happened to see her. Upon reaching her room, she sat down on her bed and began to cry, she cried as her body racked with sobs. Making a quick decision that the best thing for her to do would be to leave and get away from her family, the girl began to pack a numerous amount of bags and made sure that everything was in its place and was tidy. Hearing footsteps, the girl closed her eyes and clutched the teddy bear she had been holding when she heard her oldest brother's calming voice.
"I'm going to the Diagon Alley, do you need anything?"
"No, but, I love you, okay? No matter what." Lily called back to her brother, her voice breaking as she spoke.
Her oldest brother, James, was too shocked by the seemingly out burst of love from his younger sister. Ever since she had been sorted into Slytherin and had started dating Scorpius Malfoy in her fifth year at the school, they hadn't been very loving towards each other. Rather, they were mutual towards each other. Neither of them hated or did anything bad to the other, but neither of them exactly loved towards the other.
Lily sighed with relief when she heard the front door close, and she continued her packing, making sure that the room was left with barely anything and there were no traces of her left. Placing the bags of things in a corner of the now empty wardrobe, Lily looked around the room. It was boring, plain and dull now that all the pictures and banners were gone and it was down to bare walls, but some reason that didn't bother her. She walked down stairs, only taking a small handbag on which she had preformed undetectable extension charm her aunt taught her with the essentials in it.
Taking out a quill and tearing a piece of paper off some random thing in her bag, she quickly scribbled down a note to her parents.
'Dear Mum and Dad,
I'm leaving, and I'm not coming back. I'm pregnant and I know that if I stayed, you'd find some sick, twisted way to get rid of the baby and possibly me as well, and I won't let that happen. I might stay with a friend or with grandma, but don't come looking for me. I have been dying to break the mould of this family and now I have the chance, I will.
Goodbye,
Lily.'
As Lily walked out the front door, she realised something; she had finally escaped the life she had dreaded to live, and for some reason, though she was pregnant and was leaving from home, she smiled.
