Chapter 1: So It Begins

This is my first fanfic story so please comment/criticize! And don't forget to review!

Please note: This story will be told from first person point of view from different characters, most Ash and May. Also, it takes place after Ash's journey through Unova. For their ages, however, I used my super duper math skills and determined Ash, May, and Dawn will be fourteen.

Ash's POV

"Pallet Town, here we come!" I'm shouted as I stood on the railing of the boat.

"Pika!" Pikachu exclaimed.

I had finally finished the Unova league, to my surprise, but had lost to Alder. After losing to Alder, I had decided to head back home to choose which region i should visit next. I parted with Iris and Cilan, who were my partners, as they said their tearful goodbyes.

"Well, Pikachu, where should we go next?" I asked my faithful companion.

"Chu..." He said sadly.

"Oh crap, I forgot, we already went through all the regions," I remembered. "But we can go through them again and become the Pokemon champions!"

"Pika!" Pikachu said happily.

" I think we should head back inside and catch a quick nap, Pikachu," I said with a yawn.

We headed back inside to our small compartment. Pikachu leaped into my lap as I stretched out my arms and turned on the television.

"New reports are buzzing in as the champions of the Kanto, Johto, and Hoenn regions attempt to push forward with their new Pokemon Registration Act. Due to a number of Pokemon related accidents occurring in these past months, one of them involving a number of Electric type Pokemon rioting in the power plant which caused a city-wide blackout. Sinnoh is still steadfast in keeping Pokemon and trainers alike to roam freely without having to face the consequences. Will this new law get passed?"

"Huh, if that law get's passed through the regional governments, that won't be good for us trainers," I said to myself.

A sailor rung the bell outside my room, causing me to jump.

"Land ho! We are at the Kanto region!"

May's POV

I was scared out of my wits.

I was waiting for someone for six hours at the waiting dock.

Now, you might wonder who that special, frustrating person might be?

Ash Ketchum, that wonderful, headstrong, handsome, and caring boy, that's who!

"Come on, Ash, don't make me regret coming back from Hoenn," I said.

Then I chuckled as he was probably at a buffet somewhere out in Unova.

I sighed as that was one his many qualities that I loved.

After I left Sinnoh due to losing in the Wallace Cup, I realized I was missing something important. Something that I couldn't put a price or name on. A certain someone.

When I returned to Hoenn, I discovered I was missing Ash. Ash, who comforted me whenever I lost a contest. Ash, who always had my back whenever I was down. Ash, who-

BAM!

I fell as someone slammed into me.

"Hey, watch it, bub!" I said angrily as i got up.

"Oop, sorry, hey you must be May!" The blue haired girl said sheepishly.

"Dawn!?" I exclaimed in surprise. "Wha- What are you doing here?"

"Oh..." Dawn's cheeks reddened. "I'm here to compete in the Kanto contests!"

I looked at her suspiciously. "Is it because of-"

"Hey, look it's Ash!" Dawn yelled.

Dawn pointed out to a vague ship coming our way.

" Ash!" I screamed, waving my arms like a madman.

Ash's POV

"Who's screaming our names?" I mumbled as I got up from my bed.

I looked at the port, and saw a green bandanna and a blue beanie waving in the horizon.

"I must be dreaming," I thought as I grinned.

"Pikachu? Remember what I said about going through all the regions again?" I said to Pikachu.

"Chu Pi Pi?" He asked.

"We might have a long wait," I said as I started to wave back as fast as I could.
