Goten's Thoughts

This was strange. Something was going on Goten thought. His mom was singing while she was fixing dinner and his dad had an even goofier look on his face. Goten was puzzled. He could not figure out why his parents were acting so weird. All that was happening tonight was that Gohan and Videl were coming over for dinner. He just shook his head, and continued to set the table. Whatever was going on with his parents; he would have to wait until Gohan and Videl arrived to find out.
He looked up when he heard a knock at the door. He heard the sound of his father and mother answering the door and the sound of their cheerful greeting with Gohan and Videl. He had just finished setting the table, when his family walked into the kitchen. He shook his brother's hand and gave his sister-in-law a big hug. Even though Gohan and Videl lived right up the street to Goten it felt as if they were in another country.
"Well I hope that I fixed enough food" Chi-Chi said as she began to place the food on the table. "Oh here let me help you" Videl said starting to walk towards the stove. "No, no sit down you shouldn't over exert yourself in your condition." Chi-Chi exclaimed pushing Videl towards one of the chairs. Goten noticed the confused glance that Videl gave Gohan, and he wondered what it was about. Soon, the whole Son family was sitting down to a huge feast. Goten's and Goku's mouths were watering, but before the two of them could dig in Gohan cleared his throat. "We have an announcement to make" Gohan said smiling at Videl, but before Gohan could open his mouth again Videl burst out and said "We're going to have a baby!"
The thought of food was soon forgotten by Goten. His thoughts were now centered on Videl's little announcement. While his mother and father rushed to congratulate the new parents, Goten sat quietly in his seat. "A baby" he thought, "No, I don't want things to change. He remembered back to the time when Trunks new baby sister was born. She caused an enormous change in the entire Brief household. Now, when he went over to play he had to be extra careful not to wake the baby, and to remember not to leave things out for her to pick up and choke on. He also remembered that one day Trunks had told him that he hated his little sister because she was receiving all of his parent's attention.
Goten did not want that to happen to him. As the youngest in the Son household he liked being the center of attention, and now with the new baby he would be pushed out just like Trunks was. "Hey, bro" Gohan said looking at him curiously, "Aren't you happy that you're going to be an uncle?" Goten placed a fake smile on his face and said "Sure, this is the best news that I have heard in a while." He then rose and gave Videl a hug and a kiss on the cheek, but while he was doing this he was thinking "No I will not share them!"
