RWBY: Devil's Awakening Chapter 1, a Devil May Cry + RWBY Crossover fanfic

Now this fanfiction is just here if I had some free time on my hand. So instead of just waiting for a chapter to be released, I decided to do something for the past time. Of course, playing Devil May Cry 3 for a while, I decided you do it on Devil May Cry 3 and RWBY (Again).

NOT DMC: DEVIL MAY CRY. We never speak of that.

Of course there are a few notes:

-This is during Devil May Cry 3 and Volume 1. More specifically, it's before Mission 20 and before Chapter 1.

-Dante has all Devil Arms, Guns, and Styles. (DMC3 only)
-Even though Dante has Beowulf already and there's only one Beowulf in existence, Vergil will also be given Beowulf just because it was implemented in his gameplay.
-Of course, Devil Arms, Guns, Styles, and Special Moves will be bolded for clarity.

-Finally, chapters are probably less than 3000 words. After all, this is just a filler fanfiction for the rest of my other stories.

DEMON WORLD (DEVIL MAY CRY 3)

Dante's POV

Demon World - Arkham Battle

After a huge battle against Arkham, who has Sparda's power under his disposal, Dante and Vergil stood on one side of Arkham while getting both of their swords ready.

As a refresher, because Arkham was unable to control Sparda's power, he was turned into a huge purple blob of liquid.

Using Stinger, both Vergil and Dante dashed towards Arkham and stabbed both Yamato and Rebellion towards his body, impaling him and causing him to scream in pain. In retaliation, Arkham grabbed both Dante and Vergil and started throwing them around the room. Even though Arkham was trying his best to harm them, it had little to no effect, as Vergil and Dante just landed back down with ease. Turning back towards Arkham, Dante kicked Rebellion into him while Vergil pushed Yamato in, causing both swords to pierce Arkham even more. Once the two swords clashed with each other inside, Vergil grabbed Rebellion while Dante grabbed onto Yamato once the two swords exited the opposite direction.

Once they grabbed onto the swords, Vergil and Dante started hacking and slashing, to the point where Arkham started showing signs of exhaustion. Using this opportunity, Dante and Vergil gripped onto their swords and jumped towards Arkham, simultaneously slashing Arkham's body and stunning him one more time. Once they landed, Vergil threw Rebellion back to Dante while he threw Yamato back to Vergil.

"It can't be! You cannot!" Arkham said.

To get the finishing shot ready, Dante spun Ebony and Ivory and started aiming towards Arkham. Knowing that it's too early for him to die, Arkham proceeded to knock Ebony out of Dante's hand, only for Vergil to catch it and aim towards Arkham.

"I'll try it your way for once." Vergil said while aiming Ebony.

"Remember what we used to say?" Dante said while aiming Ivory.

Just hearing this, Vergil just glanced at Dante and smiled a bit.

"Don't do it!" Arkham pleaded.

Putting their backs against one another while putting one gun over the other, Vergil and Dante were ready to take fire.

"Jackpot!" Vergil and Dante said in unison.

Once that was said, Dante and Vergil fired their guns, firing a blue and red bullet that started heading towards Arkham. Once the two bullets shot Arkham, his blob form started fading away.

"I HAVE THE TRUE POWER OF SPARDA...!" Arkham said.

"Not very classy for someone's dying words." Vergil said while lowering his aim.

With the deed done, Vergil nonchalantly tossed Ebony back to Dante, who just catches it and holsters it alongside Ivory. Once Arkham's blob form finally disappeared for good, the only thing that remained was the two halves of Sparda's amulet and Force Edge, the unawakened sword of Sparda. With nothing supporting it, the three items fell into a portal leading to another portion of the Demon Realm, prompting both Dante and Vergil to dive towards the portal. Once in the portal, Vergil grabbed one half of the amulet while Dante grabbed the other half, leaving only Force Edge to fall.

But little did they know, this one portal did not lead to another portion of the Demon Realm.

REMNANT (RWBY)

Unknown Wasteland

11:00 PM

Once Vergil and Dante entered the portal, they just saw themselves falling towards an unknown urban area. More specifically, it was a barren wasteland that was filled to the brim with abandoned or collapsed buildings. Before diving towards the ground, Force Edge was seen spinning in the air, until it finally planted itself onto the ground. Seeing this, both Vergil and Dante dove towards the sword, only to land about two to three feet towards the sword. Using this chance to get Force Edge, Dante tried running towards the sword while Vergil started rolling towards it. Surprisingly, the person who was able to grab Force Edge in time was in fact Vergil, who just pulled it out of the ground and moved it away from Dante. With Force Edge in his hand, Vergil only needed Dante's amulet to gain the power of Sparda.

"Give that to me." Vergil said while looking Dante's amulet.

"No way! You got your own." Dante said while pocketing his amulet.

"Well I want your too." Vergil said while pointing Force Edge towards Dante.

"Pfft...what are you gonna do with all that power?" Dante shrugged. "No matter how hard you try, you'll never be like father."

"You're wasting time!" Vergil screamed.

Charging and screaming towards Dante, Vergil was ready to swing Force Edge towards him. But before it could connect, Dante pulled out his Rebellion and swung towards Vergil. With the two swords clashing, Vergil and Dante used their bare hands to stop each of their swords, causing both blade to drip with blood. With both hands on both swords, both Dante and Vergil tried pushing the blades away from each other.

"...We are the sons of Sparda…" Dante said. "Within each of us flows his blood. But more importantly, his soul!"

Saying this, the two brothers pushed both swords aside and stepped back to stop the clash.

"And now...my soul is saying it wants to stop you…" Dante said, causing Vergil to chuckle.

"Unfortunately, our souls are at odds brother." Vergil said while clenching his fist. "I need more power!"

"And we're supposed to be twins…" Dante said.

"Twins...right." Vergil said while getting Force Edge ready.

With that said, Dante grabbed Ebony and Ivory and started shooting towards Vergil. Though like always, Vergil started spinning Yamato at such a fast rate, he was able to deflect every single bullet that was heading towards him. With every bullet deflected, Vergil proceeded to teleport right behind Dante and started smacking him with Yamato's sheath. But thanks to Dante's Royalguard style, he was able to parry most of Vergil's attack with ease. Knowing that nothing wasn't working, Vergil teleported a few meters away from Dante and grabbed onto Force Edge. Channeling some energy, Vergil threw Force Edge towards Dante as if it was a boomerang. Not afraid of the attack, Dante just grabbed onto Rebellion and swung it as if it was a baseball bat, forcing Force Edge to fly back to Vergil, who just caught it with ease. Running towards Dante, Vergil grabbed onto Yamato while summoning multiple spectral swords behind his back. Once Vergil started attacking Dante with Yamato, the spectral swords started bombarding Dante, who was forced to double jump and dash out of Vergil's range. Once Dante was above Vergil, he grabbed Ebony and Ivory and started twirling around in the air while executing Rain Storm. While Vergil was too busy blocking the bullets with Force Edge, Dante dropped down with Rebellion by executing Helm Breaker, staggering Vergil a bit. While Vergil was still stunned from the attack, Dante swapped into Beowulf and immediately executed a Rising Dragon uppercut that staggered Vergil while launching himself into the air. Now above Vergil again, Dante started dropping down with multiple Killer Bee attacks, jump-cancelling and repeating the same move for the next few seconds until Vergil decided to parry his last attack.

Once Vergil parried Dante's last Killer Bee, he teleported away from Dante and grabbed onto Yamato. Stepping back, Vergil started slashing the air so fast, he executed multiple Judgement Cuts that started following Dante, who was seen dodge rolling out of the way. With Dante still occupied from dodging, Vergil summoned another pair of spectral swords. This time, they started circling around Dante. Waiting for the perfect opportunity, Dante jumped straight into the air to dodge the incoming swords. But as a follow up, Vergil teleported right above Dante and used Force Edge to execute Helm Breaker, dropping down and staggering Dante a bit. With Dante staggered, Vergil grabbed Yamato and started attacking Dante with numerous blows from his sheath and multiple slashes from his katana. Unsheathing Force Edge, Vergil teleported on top of Dante and executed another Helm Breaker, only to finish off with a Stinger that launched Dante further back. Recovering in the air, Dante equipped Kalina Ann and shot the grappling hook towards Vergil. Before Vergil could try deflecting the grappling hook, Dante grabbed Ivory and started shooting a few bullets towards Vergil. While Vergil was too busy blocking the bullets, the grappling hook finally latched onto Vergil, caused Dante to grapple towards him while staggering him once again. Now right in front of Vergil again, Dante equipped Agni and Rudra and started hacking and slashing until Dante executed Million Slash, damaging Vergil severely.

Swapping back to Beowulf, Dante tried finishing the combo with a Straight punch. But as a reflex, Vergil tried countering the punch with another punch. Only this time, Vergil noticed that he seemed to possess Beowulf as well, noticing that he countered Dante's Straight punch with another Straight punch.

"Huh...surprising to see two of the same Devil Arms." Vergil said while looking at his Beowulf set.

"But my skills are better with it." Dante said before pushing Vergil away.

"We'll see about that." Vergil said while smirking a bit.

Backing away from each other, Dante and Vergil charged towards each other and started exchanging punches and kicks, neither superior nor inferior in a way. After a few more kicks, Vergil and Dante finally charged up for a Beehive attack, executing numerous flurry of kicks that continued clashing with one another. Still clashing kicks, Vergil and Dante now started clashing blinding fast punches. Each of these punches were so powerful, the impact of just two punches made small shockwaves that shook the surrounding area in a one foot radius. Once Dante and Vergil was done clashing blow after blow, they decided to end the clash with one gigantic punch. Unlike the other punches, these specific punches were so powerful, the ground itself started shaking, to the point where the ground started showing visible cracks.

Not only that, but that shockwave was so powerful, it made a loud noise the echoed throughout the wasteland.

Because of how loud the shockwave was, it definitely caught the attention of some nearby individuals. Multiple unknown black creatures started watching from a distance. Climbing from the surrounding building debris, they started slowly surrounding the two half demons. While they were still busy clashing blows, one black creature tried lunging towards an unexpected Dante. But as a reflex, Dante pushed Vergil away with Volcano and turned towards the creature, only to shoot it right in the face with a charged shot from his Shotgun, blowing its head off and killing it instantly. Once Dante killed it, he immediately noticed that him and Vergil were being surrounded by a small horde of these things.

"Never seen these demons before." Dante thought.

While Dante was too busy looking at the horde, Vergil tried to use this chance to attack him with Yamato. But as soon as Vergil pulled it out, a black creature resembling a bear tried charging towards him, forcing him to turn around and slice it in half. Once Vergil sliced it, he stylishly sheathed his katana like always, now causing the sliced creature to be bisected. Noticing that they were being surrounded by a circle of these creatures, Vergil started backing up a bit until his back collided with Dante's back. Now back to back, Vergil just held onto Yamato while Dante started aiming both Ebony and Ivory once more.

Looking back at each other, Vergil and Dante can't help but sigh in annoyance.

"Do we really have to do this again?" Dante asked Vergil.

"If it'll get these nuisances out of the way, so be it." Vergil responded.

"...Then I guess we have to settle this another time." Dante said.

Saying this, another wolf-like creature tried charging towards Dante. But like expected, Dante just casually shot one charged bullet from both Ebony and Ivory, piercing its head and killing it instantly. Holstering both of his guns, Dante grabbed onto Rebellion and dashed towards one bear creature with Stinger, impaling its skull and killing it instantly. Once that was disintegrated, Dante pulled out Cerberus and started swinging it around his body, staggering five of those creatures that were surrounding Dante. While they were staggered again, Dante pulled out Nevan and started a Jam Session, spawning numerous electrical bats that started spiraling Dante while electrocuting the surrounding creatures and knocking them into the air. While they were in their air, Dante started charging some bullets from his Artemis blaster. Once it was fully charged, Dante shot the bullets into the air, bombarding the airborne demons with his Acid Rain ability, juggling them even more. To finish off, Dante pulled out Agni and Rudra and started twirling them above him, creating a Twister that incinerated the remaining creatures. With the deed done, Dante unequipped all of his Devil Arms and turned towards Vergil, who was still fighting.

With only three demons remaining, Vergil just stood still as three demon bears started charging towards him. Unsheathing Yamato, Vergil launched all three demons into the air with one strong Upper Slash. Teleporting towards them, Vergil executing an aerial rave, damaging them severely. Not only that, but Vergil started jump-cancelling from one of the demons to continue his aerial rave. After enough damage was dealt, Vergil pulled out Force Edge and used Helm Breaker to bring the three demon bears down towards the ground. Before they could impact the ground, Vergil summoned a circle of spectral swords to surround him, causing the three demon bears to juggle into the air. With a large window of opportunity, Vergil could've sliced the three demon bears with Yamato. But instead, Vergil decided to taunt them by slowly slicking his hair back. With that done, Vergil unsheathed Yamato and bisected all three demon bears, killing them instantly. And like with every single strike, Vergil slowly sheathed his katana.

"Pfft...trying to steal the spotlight again I see?" Dante asked.

"It's not like this is news to you." Vergil said.

"Perhaps you're right." Dante said. "But now with that out of the way…"

Before Dante could finish his sentence, he proceeded to pull out Ebony and Ivory and aim towards Vergil. As a reaction, Vergil backed away from Dante and got Yamato ready. Now a few feet from each other, both Dante and Vergil were ready to fight once more. As soon as they got their weapons ready, they just heard guns cocking from a distance. Looking around, Vergil and Dante just saw unknown aircrafts hovering above them while numerous human soldiers were pointing guns towards them. Once the aircraft landed in front of them, more soldiers started approaching Dante and Vergil while pointing their rifles towards them.

"Drop your weapon!" One soldier said.

Even though Dante and Vergil were at gunpoint, they just stood there as if the soldier's threat was nothing. I mean, with the insane healing factor they have, why should they be scared?

"Drop your weapon and put your hands in the air!" Another soldier demanded.

"And wave them like you just don't care?" Dante asked.

"I SAID DROP YOUR WEAPON!" One soldier repeated.

"...You're no fun." Dante said. "But as much as we like to stay…"

"We?" The soldier asked Dante.

"I'm talking about myself and…" Dante said while turning towards Vergil, only to see that Vergil was no longer with him. "Oh you mother…"

"DROP YOUR WEAPON!" The soldier screamed. "I WON'T REPEAT IT AGAIN!"

Just hearing this for the third time, Dante can't help but roll his eyes in annoyance.

"You know what? I'm getting tired of this." Dante said before backing away from the soldiers.

"And where do you think you're going?" The soldier asked.

"Who knows?" Dante responded. "With how unfamiliar this place is to me, I could go pretty much anywhere. But for now…"

Continuing to walk back, Dante slowly started shuffling towards the aircraft.

"I'll be borrowing something from you guys." Dante said, prompting the soldiers to raise a few brows.

Before the soldiers could question anything, Dante swapped into his Quicksilver style and immediately used its special ability, slowing down time in the process. With a limited amount of time left, Dante used this chance to enter the aircraft and sit right beside the pilot, knowing that he can't drive something like that.

With that, time flows normally.

With Quicksilver disabled, the pilot just started looking around, only to see Dante sitting right beside him. Not only that, but Dante started aiming Ebony towards the pilot, shocking him a bit.

"Drive." Dante said without looking at the pilot.

"Pfft...as if I'm going to…" The pilot said.

As a response to this, Dante proceeded to cock Ebony's hammer, frightening the pilot a bit.

"I said drive." Dante said.

"But...to where?" The pilot asked.

"The nearest city." Dante responded.

"Um...then Vale it is then…" The pilot said before gulping a bit.

With that said, the pilot and Dante started flying out of the wastelands and started flying towards the city Vale.

But while Dante was flying away, only now the soldiers realized that he was no longer standing in front of them.

"What the hell?" The soldier muttered while looking around.

Looking up, the remaining soldiers just saw the aircraft fly off without them. Knowing that they were left behind, the soldiers can't help but sigh.

"Man...Ironwood is gonna be pissed." One soldier said.

"You think?" Another soldier added.

And that's it for this chapter.

Like mentioned earlier, this is mostly just a fanfiction that is meant to give me some time to think of ideas for my other fanfictions.

Though, if this should be a regular fanfiction of mines, let me know.
But regardless, another chapter will be released some time soon.

REBELLION:

HelmBreaker: A devastating overhead attack powerful enough to shatter the sturdiest of armored helms or demonic skulls.
Stinger: A high speed lunge attack towards a targeted enemy, which knocks them back upon connecting.
High Time: A powerful attack that launches an enemy skyward.
Million Stabs: A blinding whirlwind of stabs with enough momentum to blast an enemy away.
Drive: An attack with a slow start that sends a powerful shockwave towards distant enemies.
Round Trip: Hurl Rebellion at an enemy.

CERBERUS:

Revolver: Spin violently in mid-air before landing to deal large impact damage.
Windmill: Spin the nunchucks around in a propeller-like motion, striking enemies directly in front of the player.
Satellite: Spin your nunchucks around your body, striking all enemies within range of the player 3 times.
Crystal: Thrust your nunchucks into the ground's surface to sprout huge ice pillars in a line directly in front of the player.
Million Carats: Slam your nunchucks into the ground to sprout ice pillars completely around the player.
Ice Age: Creates a large ice mass that encases the player. The ice mass does continual damage on all enemies that touch it, but most importantly makes the player invulnerable to all attacks.

AGNI AND RUDRA:

Aerial Cross: Perform a quick cross-slash in mid air.
Jet-Stream: Slash through multiple enemies with increased speed.
Whirlwind: Perform an element-infused upward slash against enemies directly in front of the player.
Million Slash: Rapidly swing your twin swords around for a multi-hit attack on all enemies within a 180 degree arc in front of the player. Technique ends with an element-infused overhead attack.
Sky Dance: Perform a 4-hit, mid-air combo. Combo finishes with a roll, dealing damage to enemies in front and behind the player from the moment the roll is initiated to when the player touches the ground.
Crawler: Attack distant enemies by plunging your swords into the ground to roll out a line of flame in their direction.
Twister: Quickly spin out dual sword slashes, creating a heat vortex burning everything around the player.
Tempest: Spin upward on an enemy while twirling your dual swords, generating a flame vortex burning everything in its path.

NEVAN:

Jam Session: Strum your guitar with blinding speeds, summoning a massive horde of blood-thirsty bats to attack enemies all around the player.
Reverb Shock: Charge at the enemy and hit them with a powerful electric attack.
Air Play: Jam on your guitar while in mid-air to summon a swarm of blood-thirsty bats.
Bat Rift: Swing your guitar in a massive arc pattern, slashing a nearby enemy.

BEOWULF:

Beehive: Deliver a flurry of kicks then end the combo with a powerful axe kick which knocks enemies down.
Killer Bee: A diving kick performed in mid-air that pierces an enemy with supersonic speed.
Straight: Dash toward a target enemy to deliver a straight punch onto said target enemy, knocking them back.
Beast Uppercut: Lunge forward and deliver an uppercut to an enemy, potentially launching them into the air.
Rising Dragon: After launching a foe with a Beast Uppercut, follow the launched enemy skyward in a spiral to do additional damage.
Hyper Fist: Throw a barrage of blinding fast punches at enemies directly in front of the player.
Hammer: Focus your might into a double-fisted haymaker to deal damage to mid-air foes in front of the player.
Volcano: Slam the ground with your fist to create a small super-nova that tears through enemies unfortunate enough to get in its path.

EBONY AND IVORY:

Rainstorm: Spin in the air while shooting downward.

SHOTGUN:

Fireworks: Swing the shotgun around and fire it at a 360 degree radius.

ARTEMIS:

Multi Lock: Lock on to a single enemy on the screen and then fire a wave of searing lasers to light them up.
Acid Rain: Shoot multiple laser beams into the heavens which come raining down on enemies with increased ferocity.

SPIRAL:

No moves needed.

KALINA ANN:

Hysteric: Fire a huge barrage of mini-missiles at the enemy.
Grapple: Use the bayonet attached to the rocket launcher.

VERGIL

YAMATO:

Aerial Rave: An aerial attack, that can be used continuously in rapid succession.
Upper Slash: Unsheathe your sword then quickly slash an enemy, launching them into the air.
Rapid Slash: Quickly charge towards an enemy, thrusting your sword deep into them.
Judgement Cut: Unsheathe your sword with blinding speed to cut through far away enemies.

BEOWULF:

Starfall: Similar to Killer Bee.
Beast Uppercut:Lunge forward and deliver an uppercut to an enemy, potentially launching them into the air.
Rising Dragon: After launching a foe with a Beast Uppercut, follow the launched enemy skyward in a spiral to do additional damage.
Dragon Breaker: A devastating rising double uppercut, infused to the max with demonic power.
Lunar Phase: Move in on your enemies with this aggressive spin attack, finishing with a forceful heel kick.
Rising Sun: A multi-hit attack that launches Vergil upward.

FORCE EDGE:

SUMMONED SWORDS:

Spiral Swords: Creates a ring of Summoned Swords around you that acts as a shield.
Blistering Swords: Create swords around you that launch themselves at your enemy one after another.
Sword Storms: Countless swords surround an enemy, then attack all at once, launching them in the air.
Heavy Rain Storms: Creates a deadly rainfall of Summoned Swords above your enemy's head, which temporarily stops them.
