Author's Note: Hey, this is a small drabble I made for my friend KittyAdaigo. This was a suggestion she made to help me cure my writer's block. Let me know if there's something wrong with it. Enjoy reading ;)
Hungary sighed sitting down on the sofa by the fire, just watching it flicker the flames' light and soothing warmth be spread around the room. She's been thinking, which she has been for a long time. She's been thinking, and it has always been the same thought.
"I've been thinking," she said, as a slender looking man slowly walked past her.
He stopped and turned his head, "What have you been thinking about, my love?"
Hungary turned to look at the man, she seemed to have been crying. "The Treaty of Versailles is being signed tomorrow. Tomorrow, I will be forced to pack my bags and never see you again. I have been thinking... whether or not I shall revolt against their forces."
"My dear, I believe you're stressing over this too much." The man sat down beside her and looked into her eyes, "we will see eachother again, just not as... as a couple."
"Don't you see?" She looked away from him, "don't you see why I am all upset? I don't want to lose you."
"Ungarn, we have been together for 51 years. That's longer than some human marriages last. You should be grateful for all the wonderful time we got to spend together. Besides, our divorce was forced to make the world a better place."
"I know," she sighed.
"Cheer up a little meine Liebe. Come here," he wrapped both of his arms around her and pulled her close, "we still have the night, am I right? Lets do something extra special."
She looked at him with the most sparkling eyes he has ever seen, "Mr. Austria?"
"Ja mein Schatz?"
"I love you." She tossed herself on top of him and gave him a long, passionate kiss.
And by the next morning, the Austria-Hungarian Empire was dissolved. Hungary decided not to revolt, because she knew that she will eventually see Austria again.
I know it's not the best fic, and maybe not 100% accurate, but I'm just doing little practices for my big fic. .
