Hello all, unfortunately I write bringing bad news. Glee star Cory Monteith was found dead yesterday on July 13, 2013. My thoughts and prayers go out to all of his family and Lea Michele. I'd like to dedicate this poem to him. He was one of my idols and a truly inspiring person. He will be missed.
Your singing brought us all Glee
But that is not why we keep you in memory.
You proved happy, inspiring, and wise,
You helped us break out, both girls and guys.
Across the nation, for you we mourn.
You helped us stand up, to be how we were born.
You dared us to be different,
To overcome adversity,
For once in our lives, we can see clearly.
You have led our generation to be different,
We dispel prejudice, ill-will, and scorn.
We refuse to become cliques!
Denial of who we are stops today.
Because of you, we can be
Whomever that we chose to be.
The talent you have brought to us
Will go on and on and on and on…
Thank you, Cory Monteith.
This has been so sad, but Cory will be remembered. He will be a legend in the eyes of our generation. Thank you.
