"Lamppost"
Tall,
imposing iron rooted
in soil. Ancient and modern.
Light visible
leagues away; confounding strangers
for it never expires or fades.
Stronger in winter as the glow
shines off the snow
to lead
The wandering ones back to
the King they
seek.
