One morning, Penny woke up feeling nauseous and like bile was rising in her esophagus. She ran into the bathroom and vomited in the toilet. Sherman heard the commotion and checked on his wife,

"Are you alright, Penny?", he asked.

"Yes," she replied, " I'm just not feeling well right now."

"Do you need to go to the doctor?"

"I think so."

An hour later, Sherman and Penny were in the urgent care waiting room. Penny had her head down and her hands folded. Sherman grabbed one of her hands and smiled to her. This got her to lighten up as she leans her head on his shoulder. The doctor called for the two and they went to a room.

"What's the situation, you two?", the doctor asked.

"When I woke up this morning, feeling nauseous and I vomited in the bathroom and I couldn't understand why. I also missed a period; I was supposed to have one yesterday", Penny explained.

"How should we do this: a blood test or this?" He reached into the cupboard and held up an unused pregnancy test. The couple's jaws dropped. Penny got up, took the test from the doctor's hand and went into the bathroom. Sherman waited anxiously. Minutes later, Penny came out with a smile on her face, holding up the test. It had double red lines on it.

"OH, MY GOODNESS, PENNY! ARE YOU-", Sherman began. Penny happily nodded. The two embraced. "We got to tell your parents. They'll be so excited."

Penny sent her parents on a scavenger hunt in the house. Find the bun, she called it. Sherman held up a camera, hoping to catch their reactions. They checked the family room, bathroom, bedrooms (master/guest), and the patio. It was nowhere to be found. Now there was only one place to look: the kitchen. Nothing was in the refrigerator. Or the pantry. Or the spice cabinet. All that was left was the oven. Paul, Penny's father, reached inside and pulled out the bun.

"Okay, Dad, where did you find the bun?" Penny asked him.

"The oven," he said a little amazed. Patty, her mother, gasped and hugged her daughter and son-in-law. Paul chuckled in happiness and joined the hug, excited and a bit nervous to become a grandpa.
