Lena rubbed her eyes as she tried to concentrate on what she knew was a very important business meeting, her eyes drifted to the clock once more and she had to hold back the groan that almost escaped her lips. Three hours, they had been yapping for three hours!
"Miss Luther?" one of the investors she thinks his name might have been Jerry.
Lena's head shot up at the sound of her name, "yes?"
"Are you on board?" he asked his voice slightly annoyed.
"You know what gentleman I'm not feeling too well, why don't we reschedule for another time," Lena said as she stood up and gathered her things.
"Uhh Miss Luther?!" he called as she fled the room.
"Another boring meeting?" Jess asked a smirk on her face.
"How can one man talk for some damn long?" Lena snapped.
Jess laughed, "Well if it makes you feel any better Miss Danvers is waiting for you."
Lena's eyes shot to her office door as she smiled, "thanks Jess."
Kara looked up at the door to her girlfriend's office opened as said girlfriend walked through.
"You have no idea how happy I am to see you," Lena said as she kissed Kara quickly before sitting beside her on the couch.
"Rough day?" Kara asked as she handed Lena her food.
"Oh you have no idea the man rattled on for three hours before I just had to get out of there," Lena complained as she took a bite of her chicken Alfredo.
"What was the meeting about?" Kara asked as she took a sip of her water.
Lena blushed, "I honestly wasn't even paying attention."
Kara laughed as she took the empty boxes and threw them away, "that boring huh?"
Lena stuck her lip out in a pout as she nodded yes.
"Aww my poor baby," Kara said as she leaned down and kissed her deeply.
Lena was about to take things further when Kara pulled away her eyes glued to the TV Lena had on as background noise.
"What is it?" Lena asked as Kara raced to the TV turning it up.
"In other news Cadmus has launched another strike killing over two hundred aliens in a safe house outside of Metropolis, people are urged to take precaution, "the news caster said before Kara turned off the TV her face red with anger.
"My mother," Lena whispered as she turned and headed for her desk.
"What are you doing?" Kara asked as she sped over towards her.
"Calling her," Lena shot back.
"That's not a good idea, she's dangerous Lee," Kara warned.
"Please don't treat me like a child, I know that," Lena pleaded as she set the phone down.
"I didn't mean to upset you. I'm just worried is all, she is dangerous from what I have heard," Kara replied as she glanced towards the door.
Lena's gaze softened as she cupped Kara's cheek. "I love you."
Kara smiled as she kissed Lena quickly, "I love you too."
"Ugh other aliens suck," Kara complained as she flew into the DEO to see an amused Alex waiting for her.
"Bad day?" she asked as she gestured towards her sister to follow her.
"Don't get me started," Kara snapped as she closed the door behind them as they entered the training room.
"Kara we have to figure out how to stop Cadmus," Alex started.
"Lena was going to call her mother," Kara replied as she began pacing.
"And how did that go?" Alex asked as she crossed her arms.
Kara stopped and faced her sister, "I wouldn't let her."
"Why?" Alex asked confused.
"She's dangerous Alex," Kara told her. "She's killed people."
"Look Lena is the best chance we have at getting close to her mother," Alex tried to tell her sister.
"I'm not putting my girlfriend in harm's way!" Kara snapped.
"Okay okay," Alex said as she held her hands up in surrender.
Kara just nodded as she turned on her heel and flew off.
"Kara are you home?" Lena asked as she used her key to enter her girlfriend's apartment.
"In the shower!" Kara called. "Be out in a minute.
"Take your time!" Lena called back as she kicked off her heels before grabbing a glass of wine and going to sit on the couch pulling the blanket that smells just like Kara around her.
Kara quickly finished her shower before speeding around, drying her hair, applying her make-up, getting dressed and grabbing her latest piece for Lena to read.
Lena looked up as she heard the door open; she beamed when she saw Kara walking towards her. "You look beautiful," she said as she accepted the kiss from the blonde.
"So do you," Kara responded as she handed Lena the issue.
"What this?" she asked as she thumbed through it.
"Why I was late," Kara responded as she flipped to her article.
Local Catco reporter saves millions of alien lives, the title read. Lena looked towards Kara a smile on her face, isn't this what he fired you over?"
"James talked to him, explained I was just doing my job, he had Judy type it up this morning," Kara said with pride.
"I'm so proud of you," Lena whispered as she pulled her girlfriend into a kiss.
"Mmmm if we keep this up we will miss our reservation," Kara moaned as Lena licked and kissed her neck.
"Mmm but I'm having too much fun," Lena purred as she grabbed Kara's ass as she pulled her into her lap.
Kara moaned louder as she ground her hips into Lena causing her to moan as well, "it took me months to book this reservation," Kara breathed out as she felt Lena rubbing her through her panties.
"Okay I'll stop," Lena pouted as she crossed her arms over her chest.
Kara glared at her as she stood up on wobbly legs and held her hand out, "It's your favorite restaurant," Kara said as she fixed her outfit which consisted of dark red skinny jeans, and a button up black shirt, will red heels.
"My favorite restaurant is in France," Lena said confused as she straightened out her dark green silk dress that matched her eyes.
"I know," Kara said with a smirk as she pulled Lena close before launching off into the night sky.
"I hate when you do that," Lena scolded her as she held her tighter.
"Sorry," Kara replied as she kissed Lena's forehead. "We are almost there, just please enjoy the scenery."
Lena smiled at her as she looked around, she beamed as she felt Kara hold her a little bit tighter.
"Miss Danvers Bonjour," a young gentleman greeted them as he led them to a back booth.
It was in a secluded corner with candles and a musician in the corner playing the violin.
Tears welled up in Lena's eyes as she took Kara's hand and sat in the chair she had pulled out for her.
"Here are your menus, I will send over the wine you ordered right away," the waiter said.
"Thank you Jaque," Kara replied as she smiled at him.
He nodded before turning on his heel and disappearing around the corner.
"Kara this is too much, this must have cost you a fortune," Lena whispered as she glanced through her menu at the prices.
"Did I forget to mention I got a raise?" Kara said with a smirk. "You always do sweet, romantic things for me; let me do this for you."
"It's not a contest," Lena pouted.
Kara leaned across the table and kissed Lena deeply, "your right because you would win every time."
Lena just blushed as she continued to skim the menu.
Once the ladies finished their meal and Kara settled the check, Kara held out her hand, "feel like walking around Paris for a while?"
"And you say you aren't romantic," Lena beamed as she took the offered hand.
Kara just shrugged as she led her out the door and into the chilly Paris night.
Once they landed home Lena immediately kicked off her heels as she flung herself on the couch, "I'm so tired," she mumbled into the couch cushions.
"So no sex then?" Kara teased as she set Lena's legs across her lap as she sat on the couch.
Lena turned over and glared at Kara as she rolled her eyes, "I can try."
Kara just laughed as she scooped her up and set her on the bed, "I will run us a bath."
"Sounds wonderful," Lena replied as she lay back on the soft bedspread.
Kara smiled at her girlfriend as she held out her hand and led her into the bathroom where she had run a hot bath and lit some candles; there was soft jazz playing in the background and a vase of roses next to the tub.
"Kara you did all this?" Lena asked as she squeezed her girlfriend's hand.
Kara blushed as she smiled, "yeah is it to cheesy?"
Lena pulled her girlfriend into a fiery kiss, "bath first, then I'm having my way with you," she purred in her ear causing the hero to shiver.
"Okay," Kara managed to get out as they both quickly undressed before entering the warm water.
"Today was perfect thank you," Lena said against Kara's chest as they both lay naked in her bed.
"I wanted to do something nice for you after today," Kara responded as she kissed her forehead.
"Look I'm sorry about how I snapped I just wanted to help," Lena said as she shifted a bit so she could lock eyes with her girlfriend.
"I know you do and I'm sorry as well," Kara responded as she played with the dark locks that were across her chest.
"I love you," Lena said as she kissed Kara deeply.
"I love you too," Kara responded.
The two women fell asleep in each other's arms, there worries behind them for now.
