Hi everyone. I'm a big fan of TMNT stories, though I do like the 2012-series in particular. Here, I've been coming up with quite a number of ideas for what kind of stories I can write with the characters, but I need your help in deciding which one to write first.
I've already got a few story ideas here that you can look at. I may update with a new list later, but for now, this list is here for you to see which one looks good for writing. You can let me know which idea appeals to you best in the review section and I just might write it. Just to let you know, I do come up with these based on a brief, random whim of inspiration.
Here in this list, I've thought of taking the TMNT characters and have them in a story based off some other work. To be specific, I'm not writing crossovers. I'm taking the setting and the characters and using them to adapt those other works. Basically, it's the other work told TMNT-style:
April in a Parasite Eve adaptation
April, the human-Kraang hybrid, will have to face a foe that's not only nearly identical to her, but even rooted in her own biology. On an additional note, both stories take place in New York or at least in Manhattan anyways.
April in a Ghost in the Shell adaptation
April struggles to come to terms with her existence as part-human and part-Kraang, along with how that affects her humanity. The setting may be adjusted to have being a mutant (half, part, or fully mutant) as the norm in place of cyberization.
Shinigami in a Bayonetta adaptation
This is a witch of the night we're dealing with here. She can fight elegantly, shapeshift, and be seductive. She wouldn't be out of place at all in a story like this.
April and Robot-Donnie in a Appleseed adaptation
Robot-Donnie from Mutant Apocalypse arc does look like he has rabbit ears, just like the male lead from the Appleseed stories. Having April here, or perhaps her SAINW-version at least, would fit nicely. Plus the Mutant Apocalypse setting could work as a parallel to Appleseed's post-war setting.
Mutant Apocalypse as a NieR: Automata adaptation
We've got a world of mutants on one side and a world of machines on the other. Just change the Turtles' eye masks into blindfolds and I'll work it from there.
The result may be a multi-chapter work or a one-shot, but who knows what'll happen? Either way, just check them out and let me know which seems good by leaving a review.
