No, nothing good starts in a getaway car.

Kendall and James dated for three years but then they broke up. Leaving him alone and wonder what happened. After they broke up, he was heartbroken to say the least. How could he moved on so fast? He was sitting on his couch when there was a knock on the door. He got up and opened it.

The mailman handed him an envelope and left. He looked at the envelope. It was him. He opened the envelope and started to read the letter.

You were the best of times, the worst of crimes

I struck a match and blew your mind

But I didn't mean it

And you didn't see it

The ties were black, the lies were white

And shades of grey in candlelight

I wanted to leave you

I needed a reason

He was shocked. He was planning on leaving him? How long was he planning on leaving him?

X marks the spot, where we fell apart

You poisoned the well, I was lyin' to myself

I knew it from the first Old Fashioned, we were cursed

We never had a shotgun shot in the dark

You were drivin' the getaway car

We were flyin', but we'd never get far

Don't pretend it's such a mystery

Think about the place where you first met me

We're ridin' in a getaway car

There were sirens in the beat of your heart

Should've known I'd be the first to leave

Think about the place where you first met me

The place where James and Kendall first met. He would never forget that day.

It was the great escape, the prison break

The light of freedom on my face

But you weren't thinkin'

And I was just drinkin'

It's a side show

And a circus ain't a love story

And now we're both sorry (we're both sorry)

X marks the spot, where we fell apart

He poisoned the well, every man for himself

I knew it from the first Old Fashioned, we were cursed

It hit you like a shotgun shot to the heart

You were drivin' the getaway car

We were flyin', but we'd never get far

Don't pretend it's such a mystery

Think about the place where you first met me

We're ridin' in a getaway car

There were sirens in the beat of your heart

Should've known I'd be the first to leave

Think about the place where you first met me

We were jet-set, Bonnie and Clyde

Until I switched to the other side

To the other si-i-i-i-ide

It's no surprise I turned you in

'Cause us traitors never win

He was going to propose to the love of his life but appartently he had other plans to break up instead. It devasted him and left him heartbroken.

I'm in a getaway car

I left you in a motel bar

Put the money in a bag and I stole the keys

That was the last time you ever saw me

Drivin' the getaway car

We were flyin', but we'd never get far

Don't pretend it's such a mystery

Think about the place where you first met me

We're ridin' in a getaway car

There were sirens in the beat of your heart

Should've known I'd be the first to leave

Think about the place where you first met me

I was ridin' in a getaway car

I was cryin' in a getaway car

I was dyin' in a getaway car

Said goodbye in a getaway car

Ridin' in a getaway car

I was cryin' in a getaway car

I was dyin' in a getaway car

Said goodbye in a getaway car

James left Kendall in a motel that night, with the keys and a bag of money. Kendall woked up to realize James was gone and so was the keys. Kendall saw a note that simply said 'I'm done.' he tried calling and texting James but James wouldn't answer. He returned home to find all of James stuff was gone.

After a few weeks of their break up, Kendall learned James moved on already with someone else. And that hurt Kendall. James moved on really quick. Kendall loved James, he still does. He wondered what went wrong. He wondered if James ever really truly loved him at all.

Hoped you liked it. A quick one shot for you guys. I wanted to do something with Taylor Swift Getaway Car. It's an amazing song. I did changed a few lyrics to fit the story though. I might do another song fic in the future.
