It happened so quickly. I didn't even get to hear the thump of my body hitting the ground. I did feel the pain though.
What I had done reminded me of Harry's mother's sacrifice for his life. To the same mysterious light, too. I felt my body have a few spasms. This was pain. I will never-in my last few minutes of life- regret my decision.
I heard cheers. I strained my ear to my full content.
"He's dead!"
"The Boy Who Lived won!"
"LONG LIVE HARRY POTTER!"
"Leliana!"
I heard my name. I managed to smile. Maybe he would realize what I had done for him. For love.
"NO!" I heard him scream.
"WAIT- WHAT ARE YOU DOING R-"
The voices seemed distant. Through my half closed eyes I saw a body sink to their knees beside me.
"She-"
"She gave herself for you. I saw it! A Death Eater tried the Avada Kedavra curse on you, and she blocked it!" A crying voice forced out of his bloody mouth. Neville. My best friend, more like a brother.
"Harry, I can't believe she did that!" The young man's tears slapped my bruised and cut cheeks.
"Ron..."
True. I had sacrificed my life for Ron Weasley. I hoped he wouldn't forget me. He was my love, I too him.
I could feel my life slipping away. I struggled to breathe.
"She's still alive!" A un-known voice yelled.
"No. She's dying. Ron, say your last words." Hagrid. Oh, how I would miss him and Fang.
A silence fell throughout the D.A. and staff, all the students that I had grown up with. I smiled slightly.
"Leliana Lyon, I love you. Never in your life forget that!" Ron stammered, his hand pushing away my bangs.
"Anything more?"
"Yes."
I struggled to see him raise his wand to himself. I croaked out a hoarse 'no!'

"Avada Kedavra." He whispered. I saw a flash of light and saw his body thud beside me, his eyes searching for mine. His lids closed and a I felt my last tears escape and my own eyes closed.
I could hear the screams and shouts from everybody, but faintly. What I did hear was Ron calling my name. I felt him grab my hand I opened my eyes. Kings cross station, faint light everywhere. I looked to the ginger man beside me and he smiled.
"Our final sacrifice." Ron whispered and I nodded.
