It was a typical day for Kara Danvers as she walked into CatCo a cup of coffee in her hand she greeted James before setting her stuff down at her desk.

"So where is the fiancée?" James asked a he sat on the edge of her desk.

"She's not feeling to well but I was going to stop by the store on my way home and pick up some supplies to make her dinner," Kara responded shooting the taller man a smile.

"Aww be still my heart," he said with a smile causing Kara to laugh.

"Kara my office now!" Snapper shouted before slamming his door.

"Ugh what now?" Kara asked with a frown as she made her over. She knocked lightly before being summoned inside.

"Where is the piece I wanted you to write about your precious fiancée taking over?"

Kara frowned, "I'm still writing it, it's not due for another week."

"Get it to me ASAP," he snarled before waving her off.

Kara just rolled her eyes as she made her way back to her desk.

"He still in a mood?" James asked with a chuckle.

"No more than usual," Kara snapped as she sunk down into her office chair.

"Hang in there," James assured her as he patted her shoulder.

"Miss Danvers?" Emma asked as she approached the pair.

"Yes?" Kara asked as she looked into the worried eyes of Emma.

"It's the hospital something happened to Miss Luther," Emma began but Kara was gone before she could finish her sentence.

Kara flew as fast as she could before landing behind the hospital she quickly changed back into her civilian clothes before speeding into the hospital.

"Can I help you?" a bored looking nurse asked from behind the desk.

"I just got a call about my fiancée Lena Luther," Kara said she tried desperately not to cry.

"Right give me a minute," the nurse said as she typed up some information into her computer. "She's in room 123 down the hall.

Kara ran as fast as she could down the hall, her heart broke when she opened the door and saw her fiancée lying in the hospital bed attached to a bunch of machines.

"Can I help you?" a doctor asked as he went to the bed to check Lena's vitals.

"I'm Kara Danvers," Kara tried to say but her tears got the best of her and she began to cry.

The Dr. patted her back as he made his way over, "so you're the fiancée?"

Kara could only nod as she continued to stare at Lena just lying there. "What happened?"

"Her assistant called an ambulance this morning apparently Miss Luther collapsed in her office," the DR. began but stopped when Kara gasped. "She was rushed here, I ran some tests turns out it's just a case of the flu."

"Will she be okay?" Kara asked her voice full of hope.

"As long as she gets plenty of rest," the DR. assured her.

Kara signed in relief, "when can I take her home?"

"I would at least like to keep her overnight for observation; if she does well then tomorrow she should be free to go."

"Thank you Dr.," Kara said as he nodded before turning on his heel and walking out the door.

Kara slowly made her way over to her sleeping fiancée; she gently took her hand in her own and tried not to cry at how cold she felt. Lena was deathly pale and very cold to the touch, Kara was worried it was more than just the flu.

"Kara?" Alex asked gently as she opened the door.

Alex?" Kara asked as she looked up to see her sister in the doorway.

"James called me. How is she?" Alex asked as she walked into the room fully as she shut the door behind her.

"Alex I'm worried, she's so cold and she still hasn't woken up," Kara cried out.

Alex pulled her into a hug as Kara broke down, "what did the doctor say it was?"

"The flu, I may not get sick but this doesn't look like the flu to me," Kara said her anger getting the best of her for a brief moment.

"Hey it's going to be okay, I'm going to find this doctor and make him talk," Alex assured her as she left the room.

Dr! Alex called as she cornered the scared looking man into a supply closet.

"Look I can't get you drugs," he said his voice shaking.

Alex rolled her eyes as she pulled out her badge she quickly switched it to FBI before flashing it towards the Dr.

"Oh thank God, what can I do for you?" he said as his nerves calmed a bit.

"I need all the info you have on Lena Luther's condition," Alex snapped.

The Dr. signed, "I can't give that out I'm sorry."

Alex's anger began to get the best of her, "look I don't give a fuck about your protocol that is not the flu she has is it?"

The Dr. looked away ashamed, "I'm not sure what it is, she's pale, cold to the touch, and she's in a coma. I couldn't bear to tell that poor girl."

Alex's heart broke for Kara, "I need to get her moved to a secure location, and I'm confiscating all your files."

"Right okay," the Dr. said as he watched Alex turn on her heel and storm off.

"Well anything?" Kara asked as Alex and J'onn took turns examing the samples they took of Lena's blood.

"It's definitely not human," Alex replied.

"I have never seen it before," J'onn murmured.

"Oh God!" Kara cried out as she raced towards her fiancée and took her hand.

"We will figure this out I promise," Alex assured her sister as she pulled out her phone.

"Who are you calling?" Kara asked.

"Maggie, we need to get to L-Corp and see if we can find out anything," Alex replied as she walked away for privacy.

"Take Winn with you, he can hack the security camera!" J'onn called causing Alex to nod.

Kara continued to stare at Lena as she tried to drown out all the other voices in the DEO; she jumped when she felt a warm hand on her shoulder she looked up into the caring eyes of J'onn.

"We will find a cure," he promised her.

Kara placed her hand on top of his, "thanks J'onn."

"Agent Danvers, Detective Sawyer, what can I do for you?" Jess asked as the two woman approached her.

"We need to search her office," Alex stated firmly.

"Of course," Jess responded immediately granting them access.

"Winn get to work on the security camera," Maggie said as he nodded and walked off towards the security office.

"It's not the flu is it?" Jess asked sadly as she watched the two women from the doorway.

"Afraid not," Maggie responded as she shot the young assistant a sad smile.

Jess just nodded as she turned and closed the door behind her.

"Find anything?" Alex asked getting frustrated as she looked through all of Lena's things.

"Nothing," Maggie replied sadly.

"Guys I found something," Winn said over the comps.

"We're on our way," Alex said as she and Maggie ran towards the office.

"So Lena doesn't have a camera in her office but I found something in the hallway," Winn said as he pointed to someone coming up the stairs.

"More like someone," Maggie said.

"Lillian Luther," Alex seethed.

"What is she carrying?" Winn asked as he pointed to the small briefcase she was holding.

"Probably whatever alien dieses she pumped Lena full of," Alex snapped.

"Hey calm down we will find her," Maggie assured her wife.

"I'm going to end her this time," Alex seethed as she stormed out of the office.

Maggie and Winn exchanged worried looks as they followed suit.

"How is she holding up?" Maggie asked her sister in law as she poked her head into the room.

"She still won't wake up," Kara said her voice depicting her tiredness.

"Kara you need rest," Maggie said as she placed her hand on her shoulder.

"I can't leave her," Kara responded her eyes never leaving Lena's sleeping form.

"What did you guys find out?" Kara asked as she finally turned to face the detective.

"Kara now isn't a good time," Maggie tried to reason with her.

"Tell me!" Kara demanded as she stood up.

"It's Lillian," Alex said as she stood leaning against the doorway.

"She's willing to kill her own daughter for being with me," Kara cried out as she slumped back down into her chair.

Maggie pulled her into a hug as she glared at her wife who only shrugged, "she deserved to know."

"Look we will locate her and lock her up, I promise," Maggie said as she rubbed Kara's back soothingly.

"Why? So she can just escape again?" Kara asked broken.

"Kara's right we have to put her down," Alex said as she stepped further into the room.

Maggie couldn't believe the words coming out of her wife's mouth, "we can't just kill her."

"Why not? She sure as hell didn't care when she killed my father in cold blood, our countless others, and how many times as she tried to kill Lena?"

Maggie signed, "So we give her a proper trial and lock her away forever."

"It's not good enough!" Alex screamed causing Maggie to jump.

"Kara what do you think?" Maggie asked as she turned towards the girl of steel who was gone. "Shit!" Maggie screamed as she pulled out her phone.

"What are you doing?" Ales asked as she crossed her arms.

"Calling for backup, you know Kara will never forgive herself if she kills Lillian," Maggie argued with her wife.

Alex's glare softened as she nodded towards her wife, "I will alert J'onn."

Maggie shot her a grateful smile as she talked to her boss on the other end.

Lillian was pouring herself a glass of wine when Supergirl crashed through the roof and into her living room.

"Miss Danvers, I was wondering when you would show up. Is she dead yet?" Lillian asked as she turned towards the angry woman with a smirk on her face.

"How could you?" Kara asked angrily as her fists clenched at her sides.

"She knew the consequences of her actions when she chose to shack up with your kind," Lillian spat out in disgust.

"So your punishment is death?!" Kara screamed.

Lillian calmly placed her glass down before standing up, "I would rather see her die then have her marry you and poor Lex having to hear about it in the papers."

Supergirl lost it as she rushed forward and grabbed Lillian by the neck, she lifted her off the ground as she tightened her grasp.

"Supergirl put her down!" Maggie called as she and the rest of the National City Police Department burst into the room.

"She is trying to kill Miss Luther," Supergirl argued as she squeezed tighter causing Lillian to begin struggling against her strong arms.

"Stand down," Alex told her sister as she set her gun down and walked over to her. "She is the only one who can save her."

Kara looked towards Lillian who was smirking at her, with a nod towards Alex she threw the woman to the ground before flying off.

"Detain her," Maggie ordered as two officers cuffed her.

"She's going with us," Alex stepped in as she grabbed the woman and pushed her out the door.

"Let them go," Maggie said as an officer tried to protest.

Alex and Lillian had been silently staring at each other for over an hour, not one word spoken among the two women, it was J'onn who finally broke the silence as he entered the room.

"Mrs. Luther my name is J'onn Jones," he began but stopped as Lillian held up her hand.

"I know who you are, just like I know this is the DEO and Kara Danvers is Supergirl, I'm not stupid alien scum," she sneered.

"How do we cure Lena?" Alex asked choosing to ignore Lillian's statement.

"I want to speak to Kara," Lillian said as she folded her arms and took a seat on the bench in her cell.

"Not going to happen," Alex snapped.

"Then she dies," Lillian smirked.

Kara stormed into the room as she super sped to the cell and glared daggers at Lillian, "where's the cure?"

"Break up with Lena and convince her to join my cause then I will give it to you."

Kara's heart broke, she loved Lena dearly but if that is what it took to save her life she would oblige, "fine," Kara said through gritted teeth.

"Kara you can't," Alex tried to reason with her baby sister.

"It's the only way to save her," Kara replied as she wiped away tears.

"Good girl," Lillian said with a triumphant smirk.

"Give us the cure," Alex snarled.

"The antidote is in my back pocket," Lillian said as she stood up. "But I must warn you if you betray me, the virus goes airborne."

"I won't," Kara snapped as she took it from Lillian and stormed off.

"Kara?" Lena asked as she finally woke up and took in her surroundings.

"You're awake thank Rao," Kara said as she leaned down and placed a soft kiss to Lena's forehead.

"What happened?"

"You were sick, with an alien virus, we just found the cure."

"How long was I out for?" Lena asked as she rubbed her head.

"Three weeks," Kara cried out.

"Oh God," Lena replied as she grabbed Kara's hand.

Kara held onto her hand for dear life knowing it was the last time she would ever be able to touch the love of her life.

"Am I at the DEO?" Lena asked.

"Yes we brought you here when we found out about the virus," Kara replied.

"How did I even catch an alien virus?" Lena asked confused.

Kara began to cry harder as she dropped Lena's hand and slowly backed away.

"Kara what's wrong?" Lena asked her own heart breaking at seeing her fiancée so upset.

"I can't do this," Kara cried out as she turned on her heel and stormed out of the room.

"Kara!" Lena cried out.

Alex watched with sad eyes as her sister ignored everyone as she flew out into the cold night.

Lena looked up as the door opened, she hoped it was Kara but frowned when she saw Alex standing there.

"Hey," Alex saluted as she walked further into the room.

"Where's Kara?" Lena asked her voice full of concern.

"How are you feeling?" Alex asked ignoring the question.

"Fine, now where is she?" Lena asked again.

"She needed some air," Alex responded as she sat as far away from Lena as possible.

"Alex what the hell is going on?" Lena asked as she sat up and ripped off the sheets as she swung her legs out and walked towards the agent.

"Your mother," was Alex said.

"She did this to me?" Lena asked as she sunk down in the chair near Alex's.

Alex just nodded as she looked away.

"What aren't you telling me?" Lena demanded to know.

"She has the same virus in an airborne form," Alex whispered.

"Dear God," Lena whispered.

"God I can't do this," Alex said as she stood up and began pacing.

"Do what?" Lena asked growing more and more concerned.

"She threatened to release it if Kara didn't break up with you and if you didn't go with her," Alex said all in one breath.

Lena's heart shattered, as she curled up in a ball and cried.

"Kara couldn't do it so she left, she loves you too much," Alex said.

"So she sent you to do her dirty work?" Lena snapped.

"You know that isn't the case," Alex snapped back.

"Where is my mother?" Lena asked eerily calm as she wiped her eyes and stood up.

"In a cell," Alex responded.

"Take me to her," Lena said as she opened the door.

Lilian looked up as she heard a door open; she smiled as she saw an angry looking Lena storming towards her.

"What the fuck did you do Lilian?! She screamed at the woman standing in front of her.

"What had to be done," Lilian said calmly.

"You just couldn't let me be happy, could you?" Lena said as she turned away trying not to let Lilian see her cry.

"She's beneath you," Lilian said as she stood up and walked towards her daughter.

"She is the best thing to ever happen to me!" Lena screamed at her mother as she turned back around to face her.

"So where is she then? If she really loved you, I'm sure she would be here."

"You threatened her, you monster. She knew I would never allow her to risk anyone else's life just to save my own. She's a hero," Lena cried out.

"She's a monster!" Lilian screamed in rage.

"No Mother you are!" Lena responded as she turned on her heel and stormed out.

It had been weeks since anyone had seen or heard from Kara and Lena was worrying herself sick wondering where she was.

"I can't sense her anywhere," Clark said as he landed next to a worried looking Alex.

"Does that mean?" Winn asked his question lingering.

"She's not dead, but she is definitely far away enough I can't reach her," he responded sadly.

"She should have killed her," Lena snapped causing Clark to turn towards her with a look she couldn't quite read.

"Lena," Maggie began but Alex stopped her.

"She took everything from me, including the woman I love, she doesn't deserve to live," Lena continued.

"I will find her and bring her back to you," Clark promised as he placed his hand on her shoulder.

"She doesn't want to be found," Lena said coldly as she turned on her heel and stormed out of the DEO.

After almost a month of not knowing where or even if her fiancée was still alive, Lena finally found the strength to return to work, she hated the looks of pity being shot her way so she just chose to ignore them and throw herself into her work.

She signed in annoyance when she heard a knock on her door, "not now Jess," she snapped as she looked up and saw Alex.

"You won't return my calls," Alex said sadly as she walked closed and took a seat across from the CEO.

"It's easier this way," Lena responded sadly as her eyes quickly shot towards a picture of her and Kara before going back to her paperwork.

"We are so close to finding her," Alex said as her eyes filled with tears.

"Face it she's gone," Lena snapped as she waved her hand. "Now if you will excuse me."

"How can you be so cold?" Alex said as tears streamed down her face.

"Because I have to be! It's the only way to keep myself from falling apart!" Lena cried out as she slammed her hands on the desk.

"I understand, I do but please don't cut us out," Alex said as she stood up and pulled the crying CEO into her arms.

"I'm so sorry Alex, I just miss her so much," Lena cried into Alex's shoulder.

"I know you do," Alex said as she held her close.

"We have to find her," Lena said as she stood up.

"Let's go," Alex said as she and Lena walked towards the doors.

"Anything?" Alex asked as she and Lena paced behind Winn as he once again searched for any signs of Kara.

"Nothing," he said with a frown as he turned towards the two women.

"Damnit!" Alex shouted.

"Where the hell could she be?" Maggie asked as she walked into the room.

"She's not at the fortress," Clark answered as he flew into the room.

"Oh my God, I think I know where she is," Lena said as she turned and ran from the room.

Lena looked upon the ruined Luther mansion she once called home in disgust, she ran her hands threw her hair and took a deep breath before opening the door and steeping inside.

Nothing but darkness greeted her as she stepped further inside, she pulled out her phone and used it as a flashlight as she looked around. She gasped as she passed by an old photo of her and Lex as children, she wiped away a stray tear as she kept walking, and she stopped when she thought she heard a noise coming from her old bedroom. She strained to hear as she walked a bit closer and peeked around the corner. She gasped as she saw Kara sitting on her old bed holding her teddy bear close to her chest.

"It's the closet I could get to you," Kara whispered her voice hoarse from all the crying she had done over the course of a month.

"Oh baby," Lena cried out as she pulled the woman she so dearly loved into her arms and held her tightly.

"I'm so sorry," Kara cried into her chest as she clutched onto Lena tightly.

"Shh it's okay," Lena assured her as she pulled her into her lap and just held her.

Alex gave them a few more minutes before she stepped into the room with Maggie close behind.

Lena smiled as she looked up, "figured it out huh?"

"Hey I know stuff," Alex teased as she rushed towards Kara to hug her.

The two sisters squeezed each other tightly as Maggie and Lena looked on.

"I'm sorry everyone," Kara said as she and Alex pulled away, she rubbed her eyes as she yawned.

"Kara when was the last time you slept?" Maggie asked as she took notice of how tired the young woman appeared to be.

"A month," Kara whispered as she leaned against Lena who immediately wrapped her arms around her.

"Well then let's get you home," J'onn said with a smile as he stepped into the room.

"How did you know where we were?" Alex asked.

"I read your mind," J'onn admitted.

Cheater," Alex mumbled causing J'onn to glare at her. Lena, Kara, and Maggie laughed as Alex flinched under the glare.

J'onn helped Kara stand before picking her up and flying her out of the house.

"That's okay we will just drive," Alex called causing Maggie to smack her and Lena to laugh.

It has been three weeks since Lena got Kara back and things were beginning to return to normal, she knew Kara well and she knew the woman was punishing herself for just leaving, but she also knew Kara would never allow Lilian to harm millions of people.

She beamed when she felt a pair of familiar arms wrap around her, "what are you thinking about?" Kara whispered in her ear.

Lena turned in her arms and kissed her deeply, "how glad I am that I know you so well."

Kara beamed, "I'm glad you do as well."

"So should we get going?" Lena asked as she held her arm out for Kara to take.

Kara just smiled as she took it.

"Okay is everything ready? "Alex asked in a panic as she looked around her and Maggie's decorated house.

"It looks great babe," Maggie assured her as she kissed her wife before walking to the door after hearing a knock.

"Hey guys," Maggie greeted Lena and Kara as she stepped aside to lead them in.

"Wow the remodel looks great," Kara said as she allowed Alex to take her hand and began dragging her around the house.

Lena just rolled her eyes as she handed Maggie a glass of wine, "god thank you," Maggie said as she poured her and Lena a glass.

The woman were laughing and telling stories when they heard a knock on the door, "who's that?" Kara asked as Alex went to answer it.

Eliza and J'onn hugged her before entering the house.

"Eliza?!" Kara said as she jumped up from Lena's lap and ran over to her mother who hugged her tightly.

"HI sweetheart," Eliza said as she hugged Kara a little bit tighter. Alex had told her what happened, since then Eliza hasn't really let Kara out of her sight, either with sudden visits or phone calls.

"Hi Eliza," Lena said as she gave the woman a small wave.

"Oh get over here," Eliza said as she pulled the woman into a hug.

Lena relaxed into it she still was getting used to having a mother figure.

Alex panicked as she stood up and turned towards her family who were lounging around the living room laughing and remincing. She caught Maggie's eyes and smiled as Maggie gave her an encouraging nod.

"Hey guys can I get your attention," Alex asked as Maggie went to stand beside her.

Everyone turned to face the couple, making Alex suddenly very nervous; "its okay," Maggie encouraged her.

Alex took a deep breath before speaking, "okay the remodel isn't the reason we called all of you here," Alex began. "I have some exciting news," she took a big sip of water before speaking. "I'm pregnant.

"What?! Kara and Eliza shouted as they both jumped up and ran to hug Alex.

"Congrats," Lena said as she hugged Maggie.

"Thank you guys," Alex said as she hugged J'onn.

Kara and Lena were exhausted as they made their way home, Kara pulled off her shoes as she set them aside before falling face first into the couch causing Lena to giggle as she pulled off her heels and swatted her butt as she slid in behind her.

"I'm so tired, "Kara mumbled into the couch cushions.

"Then maybe we should go to bed," Lena urged her as she rolled over and tried to pull her fiancée up.

"I can't make it," Kara mumbled dramatically as she turned over and pouted.

"You're a superhero you got this," Lena responded as she held out her hand.

Kara just smiled as she took it and allowed Lena to lead them to the bedroom.

As both women were settled in, Lena turned towards Kara curious, "do you ever want kids?"

Kara turned towards her and smiled, "I want everything with you."

Lena beamed as she kissed Kara quickly before pulling her into her arms as both woman fell asleep.
