Yamato and Taichi had run to Meiko, who was trying to reach out to her partner Raguelmon who 2as trying to destroy Omegamon and Taichi had a bad feeling, something was going to happen to him in that battle, he didn't know why, but he felt it and then he looked at Meiko, who covered her mouth with her hands as she saw what her partner had become and Yamato held her, preventing her from getting any closer.

He remembered the times when he had seen her sad and desperate for her partner digimon and her own situation, how hard he had been with her, the girl he had begun to have feelings for, because he had been frustrated at himself, at her for giving up and he took a deep breath.

"Yamato, let me talk to Meiko." Taichi asked, facing the digidestined and when the blonde stepped back, Taichi placed his hands on her wrists, lowering them gently and Meiko blushed, staring at him in surprise and Taichi gave her a small smile.

"T-Taichi?"

"When I said I wasn't going to leave behind a friend who was suffering, I wasn't talking about only Meiccomon, but about you too." He admitted with a shy smile, releasing her wrists and staring into her eyes behind behind her red glasses.

"That night at school, I left you alone, I was angry, and I'm sorry, but now I'm here with you, I promise, just like the others are."

"Taichi I..." Meiko didn't know what to say, wasn't used to having friends around her and she stared at him, biting her lip before giving him a small smile. "Thanks..."

"You and Mei are partners for a reason and so don't think that maybe you shouldn't exist, you are important to us." He said seriously, and looked to the battle, seeing the dust of destruction rise and then turned to Meiko and held her hand, knowing they didn't have much time and if anything happened to him, he needed to know something of her and so he asked:

"I need to know if you're going to be okay..."

Taichi's words had raised her hopes, making her more determined to fight for Mei because she had Taichi beside ber, the boy who had conquering her heart, and she had her new friends and so she nodded confidently, opening a big smile and she squeezed his hand with hers, entwining them.

"I'll be okay, I won't give up Taichi."

And Taichi smiled, believing in her words and then, he pulled her into a quick hug, his heart racing and Meiko blushed, hugging him, before they let go and then looked at the battle, and then, minutes before Taichi stayed behind and disappear, to give Yamato and Meiko time to get away from there.

And while entering into the black hole, Taichi's courage continued to shine inside him, because he knew Meiko and the others would be able to defeat their enemies.
