I couldn't think never mind breathe. Just seeing him look up under sandy blonde bangs, with those dark blue eyes, smiling slightly, made me drift into a trance. We

had just met, not to long ago, and I seemed so intrigued by his incredible features.

His name was Noah.

His face, his body, was mesmerizing. He spoke; so solemnly, that it was almost as if he wasn't real.

But no. I couldn't be feeling like this, not now. We've known each other for less than 48 hours, and I'm much too young. Why did he have to be so addicting?

"Allie?" He finally spoke, and I flickered my eyes up from studying his lips to his eyes.

"Yes?"

"Are you ready to go?" He snickered, obviously waiting for me, who probably looked incredibly stupid staring at his face.

"Yeah, Yeah. Of course," I nodded my head a bit too violently and stood up from the steps.
He grinned at me as we headed down the rocky dirt path down his house and towards the river.

"It's so beautiful down here," I sighed in contentment, noticing the dock from afar.

"I know. I always come down here, just to think. 'Helps clear my mind," He nodded, staring into the distance. He shoved a hand in his pocket. "You know what?"

"What?" I smiled, trying not to look too interested. By now the warm August winds were blowing softly, making my knee length jumper dress flap around slightly at the bottom.

"When you moved here, earlier this summer, I thought you were just the best thing that has ever been on this earth." I squinted, as if trying to make out his words better.

"Really?"

"I was mad that I was never introduced to you."

I looked down. I had made new friends in the one and a half months I had lived in Charleston, but I never even noticed Noah. He hung out with different crowds, and ever since I was a little girl I was too afraid to introduce myself. Always.

"Well, we know each other now, right?" I said so softly I could have probably passed for a whisper, and stepped onto the dock.
"I guess we do."

We walked to the end of the dock, and sat down. The sky was a fait blue, faded into purples and pinks. The golden sun was half way down the mountains, and with the rainbow sky the scene was breathtaking.
I slipped off my tweed wedges and let my toes just skim the top of the water, which was surprisingly chilly.
