Gensai Haruko walked slowly down the hallways of her new school, her puffy yellow uniform dress hooked over one arm and obscuring her blurry vision. Her glasses were tucked high on her head, her grey hair keeping the thick lenses out of her way while she was looking down at the schedule. She gently toyed with the pale pink paper which held all of her classes on it, the map safely tucked into her front pocket so she wouldn't forget it the next Monday.
"Home Ec. 1st." She murmured then took a glance up to see the nearest class label, 3-b and 3-c. Haruko sighed a little as she realized she would have to walk up another tall flight of stairs to get to the designated 4-c. She trudged halfway up the tall flight when she tripped over her flip flops and wound up going airborne. Her loud squeal rent the air and she tucked into a ball, pulling the poufy dress around her head as a cushion.
She braced herself for a hard landing and was surprised when something warm wrapped around her body, causing her and it to grunt.
She felt her momentum catch up with the person who caught her when they rocked back slightly and then forward dangerously.
"All right?" The person asked and Haruko peaked up from under the dress to peak at her rescuer. This though did nothing for her when she realized her glasses were not on and she wouldn't be able to see the persons face unless she squinted hard.
"I'm fine. Are YOU okay?" Haruko queried in concern, she had been traveling pretty fast when she fell … down the staircase.
"Mhm." Her response was brief and then she was being set back onto the ground, her feet resuming their place firmly on the ground. She took the time to dust off her knees and straighten her clothes before she stood up.
"Thank-" she said to thin air as she looked where the boy had been "-you?"
Staring at the blank spot Haruko looked frantically around to find her savior and gave up after a few seconds. She looked down at her antique wristwatch and gasped at the hands.
"Pooh!" She hollered as she took off towards the front entrance, the yellow dress trailing pathetically behind her as she ran.
He watched her run, the dress flapping behind her as she frantically dashed down the hall and he was struck with a sudden need to smile.
The smirk that manifested interested his companion and they both found their gazes on the small figure as it loaded into a black antique car.
"Who's that Mori?" The smaller of the two asked the larger as he climbed up the unmoving boulder of a man.
"Mhn-mh." Mori responded and then turned away, the small boy already settled upon his friends shoulders.
A/N: I hope you enjoyed! This will hopefully turn out better than the other story I posted. Please review. No Flames/people telling me my character is a Mary-Sue please.
