Sena stared at her soul gem, which was a dull and muddy pink with flecks of black in it. Why was it doing this? Her wish had been fulfilled, so shouldn't her soul go back into her body? Her eyes widened as she realized that her wish hadn't been fulfilled - she had gone against it.
An eight-year-old Sena breathed heavily inside the base, rubbing her aching legs in an attempt to soothe the pain. If only she could be strong like her sisters, then maybe her dad would be proud of her. She would do anything to be able to be a great warrior and destroy the Dragonoids in a way that would make them know what it felt like to be sent into exile from their home and have their power stolen.
"Anything?" a voice asked. Sena looked around, and saw a small white creature with red eyes and two sets of ears. It didn't speak with its mouth, but it still spoke to her. "My name is Kyubey, and I have the power to grant any wish, if you make a contract with me and become a magical girl!"
"A... magical girl?" she asked, confusion in her voice. "What does it mean to become a magical girl?"
"You'll have to fight witches and their familiars in exchange for magical powers and the granting of your wish."
"I'll fight! I plan on fighting anyways, since I'm gonna become a Tigeroid warrior... if I'm strong enough."
"Then make a wish, and the contract will be made."
Without a second thought, Sena made her wish. "I wish to be strong enough to destroy the Dragonoids and make them be the ones who are crippled by their lack of power."
Sena clapsed a hand over her mouth as she realized what she had done. Rai and Finn were hybrids, and then there was Rai's mom, Phoebe, Luka, Jahara, and Duran - she had befriended several people of Dragonoid when she had learned that nothing was in black and white. Heck, she had befriended Rai and Finn way before then. She didn't want to crush them - but she did. And here on Suhn, there were no grief seeds to take her despair.
She knew what happened if her soul gem turned completely black. She had seen it happen to a human magical girl. She wouldn't be easily allowed to go back to Earth, though. Despite being a hero, she was looked at with uneasy eyes. She had helped a supposed spy escape and had vouched for the real one to live. She could tell that even if she had finally earned the respect of her sisters, she had probably lost much of the respect her parents had for her in her endeavors. They didn't know how much she had sacrificed for them. None of them did.
Well, she had sneaked her way into Suhn. Surely Sena could sneak her way out of it.
She didn't.
Hannah sat on her bed, hugging her knees to her chest. Where was Sena? She had been gone for two whole weeks. Her family had searched just about everywhere. That was when she became aware of a small, fox-like creature sitting on her bed.
"If you make a contract with me and become a magical girl, then surely you could find her," the incubator said to the young, unsuspecting Tigeroid. It would have smiled at the irony if it possessed emotions and weren't already smiling. The first witch this girl would fight would either be her sister, or an offshoot of her sister's familiars.
