Greetings,

It has come to my attention that there have been several questions about my lack of appearance in the case regarding the beating of FBI Agent Daniel Webster. Actually, from what I've been told, there were questions about the lack of appearance of myself, Amita, Larry and my father. Do not worry. We are still here. However, from time to time there is a case that my brother can solved without the benefit of my knowledge. This was one of those times. Don't tell him thought, he's already impossible to be around. *BG*

My father is quite busy with his consulting business and, aside from dinner, I have barely seen him these past couple of weeks. As for Larry, he had a face to face appointment to keep with a very special friend at CUNY – City University New York, for those who don't know. You might have heard of Larry's friend. Dr. Michio Kaku, one of the co-founders of String Theory. I am sure he learned a lot from Michio or confused the good doctor all to Hades but I am sure he had a great time, no matter the outcome.

Myself, I have been on a guest lecture tour. Amita came along, for which I was eternally grateful, in more ways than one. For the curious, the lecture was "Latest Developments in Law Enforcement Uses of Higher Math". It's something that I've been working for a while now and had finally finished. I spoke to six different law enforcement agencies in the space of the eight days. The FBI academy at Quantico, the National Security Agency and the Department of Homeland Security in the morning of one day and then out at Langley for the CIA. The next day Amita and I flew to Charleston, S.C. to speak at the Federal Law Enforcement Tracing Center and then, finally, England and Scotland Yard.

After all that, I took two weeks of 'downtime' for the first real vacation I can recall taking, or wanting to take, in…well…forever. It was really nice. I'm going to have to take vacations more often.

So, that's where I've been. No deep dark plot to keep me out of the way. *BG* Just real life for myself, my family and my friends. I do want to thank you for your concern. It's nice to be wanted and appreciated. I will endeavor not to disappear so completely but I can't promise that. Life happens.

Sincerely,

Dr. Charles Eppes
