I said I was going to turn this into a story all its own and here you go. I added a few things here and there for the first chapter. Rated for later chapters. Enjoy the first chapter.
Queen Moon Butterfly panted as sweat dripped from her forehead as she held her newborn daughter, a grey-skinned girl, in her arms. She frowned as she looked up to see the door open and her husband, King River stepped into the room, a smile painted across his face, "Hello Moon pie, how are you and-" he stopped when he spotted the grey-skinned baby in his wife's arms, "Moon? Where did that monster come from?"
"River…the Butterfly family has been hording a secret. About three hundred years ago, my ancestor Eclipsa ran off and married a monster, where they had a child together, and the monster gene has been lying dormant in my family ever since. And it looks as if our daughter-"
"Your daughter, I want nothing to do with that…that monster," Moon narrowed her eyes as River backed away slowly, "But don't worry, I'll have the guards handle-" before he could finish, he was frozen in place in a flash of light.
Moon held the wand out before looking down at the sleeping baby in her arms, "Don't worry, Star, we'll escape before they can harm you, dear," she struggled to stand up as she reached over to the bedside table and picked up a pair of scissors and cut open a portal and stepped through it.
Moon looked down from a hill at a small town as she took a deep breath. She looked down and slightly smiled, "Welcome to earth, Star. We'll be staying here for a while…probably for the rest of our lives," she frowned as she walked down the street.
Moon sat in the living room of a small home as she held her daughter and hummed softly. Hearing a lightly knock at the door, she sighed, stood up and walked over to the door. Opening it, she a married couple with a baby boy in the woman's arms, "Hello neighbor," the woman smiled, "My name is Angie Diaz, this is my husband Rafael and our baby boy Marco,"
Moon took a deep breath and softly smiled, "Hello, a pleasure to meet you, My name is Moon Butterfly and this is-" she stopped and looked down at the small girl in her arms before taking another deep breath, "This is my daughter, Star,"
The two adults looked down at the small bundle in Moon's arms before Rafael looked up in confusion, "Not to be rude, but why does you daughter have grey skin?"
"Rafael,"
Moon frowned and shook her head, "It's a rather long story, why don't you come in and we'll talk," Angie and Rafael nodded before they followed her into the house.
Rafael and Angie sat across from Moon, staring at her in disbelief and Moon sighed and shook her head, "Yes, Star and I are from a different dimension called Mewni, where I was the queen, but I left shortly after Star was born because of one of our ancestors ran off and married a monster and had a child in that marriage, the monster gene was in our family.
As far as I'm aware, the gene was dormant for several generations and it decided to make itself known in Star. All of Mewni, from my husband to the peasants are now after us and they won't stop until they see my daughter is dead."
"Well that's not right," Angie scuffed and shook her head, "She's just a child, and just because she's basically part monster doesn't give anyone the right to try and kill a defenseless baby,"
"Si, you were lucky you got away, your majesty, but what are-"
"Please, call me Moon," Moon sighed and shook her head, "I'm no longer the Queen of Mewni. I'd rather live as a commoner than let them execute my daughter,"
"And you should," Angie frowned, "Like I said, no one should want to kill a defenseless baby no matter what,"
"I'm glad to see you two agree,"
"Of course," they heard a small yawn and they looked down to see Marco falling asleep in his mother's arms, "Well, we better get home and get this little guy to bed,"
"Yes, of course, and I should put Star down for a nap,"
The three adults stood up and Angie took a deep breath, "If you need anything Moon, we live right next door," Moon nodded before Angie and Rafael turned and walked out of the house, closing the door behind them.
Moon looked down at her daughter and softly smiled, "Well, it looks like we have a few people we can count on, dear." She lightly kissed her forehead and turned and walked towards the stairs, "But even still, you know mother won't let them harm you," she began walking up the stairs.
Angie carefully placed her son in his crib before leaning down and lightly kissed the side of his head, "Sweet dreams sweetie, and later we'll go visit Moon and her daughter Star. And who knows, you two might be very good friends." She turned and quietly walked out of the nursery.
First chapter is a tad short, and yes, I know Eclipsa isn't their ancestor and everything, but in this story, she is. As always enjoy everyone and please let me know what you all think.
