When Tamaki says he loves Haruhi, Kyouya doesn't blink. His heart isn't breaking, because he hasn't realized that it should be. He calmly tell Tamaki, that's good, she's good for you. He wonders vaguely, that if(when) Tamaki manages to get Haruhi, will he be jealous of his best friend?

When it actually happens, nothing registers. Nothing earthshaking, at least, though he feels slightly sick, and more irritable, but mostly just kind of sad. It's rather strange, and he's not quite used to it, but Tamaki is good at conjuring up strange feelings in him.

Except it was Haruhi who inspired these ones.

(Kyouya doesn't see his reflection shake it's head at him as he leaves the mirror).

The next day, he sees them, and he feels a little bit more sick, a little bit more tired, when Tamaki tries to be sweet in a subtler kind of way, to please her. If he was Haruhi, he might have felt pleased, but he isn't, and isn't very keen on being her either.

One of the Hitachiin brothers shakes his head at Kyouya, but the twins go to bother Tamaki instead. The King's wails and pleas are directed at Kyouya, but they fall on deaf- or unwilling- ears. Tamaki has taken everything he was supposed to want away. Screw Tamaki.

(a voice in the back of his mind says, 'wouldn't you like to?')

But Kyouya has better things to do than listen to voices in his head.
