Animals, with a gaze of woe
Begged mankind to let them all go
"Won't be long til we lose control
Who'll have mercy and save our souls?
All the pain we feel
Can you tell we never wished for that?
We are lost. We are scared.
Who would our burden bear?"
Shining Emerald in the sun
She could tell that her fate had come
Holding out her hand with the flow
Smiling as she told them so:
"It is quite alright. I will take the darkness you all hold.
I will reverse your fate. I'll allow you to escape.
Run, or fly, to a place far away.
To a place you'll be free everyday.
Please, with my blessing, go where you may.
So in Oz, you will not have to stay."
Heart of gold.
Wings unfold.
Some will stay.
Follow her always.
All the Animals are crying out:
"Can you save us all somehow?"
The Emerald keeps reaching out.
Saving them without a doubt.
Slowly as all the Birds start to fly
She is staring straight up to the sky.
All their souls have been made rather light
But this comes at a terrible price.
She's consumed by the darkness they bore
So she'll never wake up anymore
She has used all the strength she could hold
Her green body is laying there cold
Grieving Birds
With new words
Sing of pain
Of her memory again
Through the clouds all the Birds start to fly
In their grief, they have covered the sky
They all sing, from the land to the sea
The tragic tale of the Soleil
The tragic tale of the Soleil
