Ed walks into his superior's office after having been told Roy requested his presence. He quietly shuts the door behind him after stepping inside, and slowly gets closer to Roy's desk.
"You called?" he says quietly, regretting coming already. He knows why he's been summoned. And he hates himself for coming.
"Edward," Roy says in acknowledgment, nodding his head once. He looks up from his paperwork to meet Ed's unusually awkward gaze. "Why so tense? You know you can always relax around me."
"I'm fine." Ed averts his gaze. "What do you want?"
Roy stands, moving to lean against the front of his desk. "I think you know exactly what I want, Edward." He smirks.
"I don't really think-" Edward begins to say, but stops when he is cut off by a pair of strong hands suddenly placed on either side of his face, a pair of lips suddenly atop his own.
After a moment, Roy pulls back from the younger boy, not going too far. He turns them around so that Ed is pinned against the desk with Roy leaning over him. Before Ed can object, Roy bends lower to kiss him again, quickly moving to Ed's neck.
Ed knows he should say something, knows he should stop him, but he doesn't. He just goes with it, staying still until Roy stops briefly to look into Ed's eyes and say the same four words he says every time they do this.
"You can say no."
But Edward says nothing, just like always.
He knows it's wrong, he's realized that long ago. He knows he should tell someone about it. He knows he shouldn't keep letting it happening.
But, as much as he'd hate to admit it, he just doesn't have it in him.
Ed knows he can stop it with just one little word, but he never quite manages to get it out. Every time Roy pauses to tell him he can say no, the word is already forming on Ed's tongue.
But it never comes out.
Funny how that works, isn't it?
Ed always tells himself that he won't let Roy take him again, that the next time Roy calls for him, he'd going to say no.
But he never does.
FIN.
