The sun was amazingly scorching, blazing directly at the people walking in the busy streets of Chiyoda. Miaka was briskly pacing across the street while I was trudging along with her, sweat dripping down our cheeks. I felt the harsh rays was withdrawing my energy, draining my body little by little until I was feeling withered.
"Miaka, are you sure with this?" I asked, still unsure if we did the right decision to slipped away. "I mean, what if someone noticed that we're missing? We'll be in trouble then."
"Chill Yui, It's not a big deal." She assured. I really can't understand why she was so free-spirited in cases like this. I mean, we ditched school during school hours. Which I wasn't used to because ever since I went school I preferred to have my image clean and free from stink.
"Well, not for you. For me it is, I'm the role model of our school duh!"
"Being humble, aren't we?" She teased, laughing hysterically at me while I stuck out my tongue at her in complete surrender. She stopped at her tracks to face me, grin plastered on her face. She was really such an expert in making me speechless which I really hated because most of the time I will have a comeback for those d-bag antagonizing me. And Miaka was one of the people I knew who could keep my mouth at bay.
"That's because I belong to the top section, unlike YOU." I shot at her wholeheartedly. Her once cheerful face turned into a grunting one. Frowning at me, eyes focused on the ground probably quite insulted, but I shrugged it off. That's being bestfriends anyway. Insult one another but love like brothers. Suppressing a laugh I covered my lips with both of my palms but failed. I was squeaking hard enough. "Ok, so speaking of why we're in the middle of the street , standing still and ditching classes. Probably we should go." I walked past her slouching self, still cracking at her funny reaction.
