Hello old friend

And here we are you and me on the last page of our adventures. By the time you read these words Jason and I will be long gone. What has just happened

to you will have already happened to us. There was nothing you could have done so spare yourself the guilt and in finding this note it is evident that we will

never meet again. Don't be sad Richard, it's okay, me and Jason are having a good life here, so know that we are well and that no ill has befallen us.

It is strange to think that we will see you again but that you will never see us again. It is a bitter sweet thought, but know that we will look out for you for

as long as we can and that we will protect you from any harm. Know that we'll love you always if everything is in doubt this is the one thing that remains

constant. Though I'm never going to be able to express this to you in person I want to thank you for protecting us when we were too naive to know the

real dangers of the world.

I do worry about you though, I feel that once Jason and I are gone that you will not be returning to Gotham for a very long time. I fear that you will be

alone—don't be alone Dick someone as extraordinary as you should never be alone. I can't bear the thought of you shrouded in the shadows that surround

our dark city. Know that it does not end with me and Jason, but that this is just the beginning of something magnificent, though it may not seem so at the

moment.

And do one more thing for me old friend, there is a little boy waiting in the slums of Gotham he is going to be waiting for a very long time so he is going to

need a lot of hope go to him tell him a story, tell him that if he is patient that days are coming that he will never forget. Tell him that he'll grows up and

fight pirates and that he is going to fall in love with a man that would lay down his life in order to keep him safe, tell him that he will go out to space and

fight aliens and that he will inspire the whole of mankind to do extraordinary magnificent things.
