A Love They Shared

RED LOTUS'S POV

"Now, let's make sure it wasn't in vain."

Zaheer said, before he walked off towards the part of the cave where Korra was held, leaving Ming Hua and Ghazan behind, looking at each other with an awkward look.

"We probably should follow him."

Ming hua said with a sad look, while she stepped towards that part of the cave as well, but she was stopped when Ghazan took her by her shoulder and forced her to look him in his eyes.

"He can wait. There is something I should have done years ago."

The Lavabender said, before he pushed his lips on hers. Ming hua looked at him with widened eyes, before she gave in, letting him gain access to her mouth.

"Let me Guess. this was the other one of the two out of three?"

Ming asked with a smirk after they let go of each other. She had known all along. He was raised by his one and only sister who had abandoned him when she was asked to marry a rich man. So she had guessed it had to be either one of the other two, but she had had never expected this had been the one.

"Yeah. growing a mustache at age ten is just impossible. You should have known that."

Ghazan smirked while he gave her some time to catch her breath.

"So what do we do now? We're going to tell Zaheer?"

The waterbender asked him after a moment of silence. The tattooed Lavabender scratched the back of his head with a thinking look before he carefully shook his head.

"We better wait for a while. Maybe after we finally got rid of the Avatar. I think it's too early now. we just lost P'li and even though he doesn't say so. I think he's grieving about it."

Ghazan said with a serious face. Ming Hua nodded in agreement and after they shared one last kiss, they both headed into the part of the cave the Avatar was held to finish their mission.

Both Ghazan and Ming Hua died during the battle, but both the Lavabender and the waterbender didn't regret it. At least they would have each other in the world beyond. The love they shared would never end.
