A/N: Hey, guys!!! Phew… Finally my tests are ALL, that's right, ALLL over!! Now, I can write each and ever one of my stories I wrote… Hee… This is one of them only. It's funny though, I got the inspiration to write this when I was studying for my UEC a few days ago, and what do you know?! It was a heavy thunderstorm and it even trigger my house's main electric switch… Anyway, please enjoy and obviously… Let me know what you think .

It was raining heavily outside, possibly the heaviest rain Tokyo had ever uncounted. A 9 year-old blonde couldn't sleep. Every time she closed her emerald eyes, the crackling sound of thunder would startled her; not that she was afraid of the thunder, but worried about the girl in the other room across the hall. Looking at her digital watch, it was already a quarter to three in the morning. She sighed as she rested her chin on her knees.

The squeaking sound of the door made her look up. A shy, trembling voice called to her.

"H-Haruka-chan…"

"Ah? Michi-chan! I was just thinking how you were doing the other side… What's wrong?"

What a stupid question for me to ask…

Haruka looked worriedly at the girl who stood in the middle of the dim-lighted room, hugging her teddy tightly, eye's filled with tears. Michiru slowly took a step forward. Haruka, shook her head and smiled weakly.

"Come on, Michi-chan…" She patted the empty space she just made for Michiru, gesturing her to come forward. A bright smile appeared on her chubby face as she ran forward, almost tripping.

Haruka took her tortoise soft toy and handed it over to shorter girl.

"This is Dopey, he'll protect you!" Haruka said wit a grin, even at that age she could already charm her. Michiru took Dopey in her small yet talented hands and embraced it tightly.

A crack of thunder suddenly ripped through the air, causing a short circuit.

"RUKA!" She screamed, drops of cold sweats were rolling down the length of her face.

"Daijobu, Michi-chan…" Haruka whispered, trying to calm the violinist.

Michiru looked up with fear. Haruka quickly pulled her into a tight, protective embrace, covering both of them with her Ultraman comforter.

Kami-sama, stop this rain already! The blonde thought.

Haruka wiped the cold sweats on the aqua marine-haired girl's forehead with her long sleeves.

Another thunderclap shook the room. Before Michiru could scream, Haruka had tightened the embrace and rested her chin on Michiru's head, comforting her. The frightened girl snuggled closer to the young racer as she slowly drifted into her deep sleep.

Reality check…

"HARUKA!" A voice brought then blonde who was looking out the window back to reality, thinking about her childhood.

The violinist stormed into her room.

"Michi, can't you even knock?!" Looking clearly at the shorter girl's expression, she backed up a little. "W-What's wrong, Michi?" She asked a while later, standing up.

Whatever had happen to the shy, little Michi?

"Look what you did to my painting?!!" She shouted, handing out her 'masterpiece'.

"Huh?"

"Don't play dumb, Ruka!"

"I really don't know wha- Hey! What's that dead fly doing there?! Ew!! Yuck, and the-"

"RUKA!!"

"What?!" Haruka protested.

As they were arguing, a young girl with violet hair walked in.

"Michiru-mama, Haruka-papa, what's going on?"

The Senshi of Sea turned around, startled.

"Oh, Taru-chan! I think I heard Setsuna-mama calling you." She stated, putting on a fake smile.

"Well, okay…" She shrugged and exited the room as she took a glance at the familiar painting.

Eh… At least I got away this time! Phew… Gomene, Haruka-papa!

Hee… finally I'm able to write a one-shot, cheers!!! Haha… Please, pretty please, let me know!!
